So its a BRM P201 taken sometime close to 1975. but not 75,76,77. The only logical assumption would be Ian Ashley at the 1976 Brazilian GP but the problem with that is the car in the picture is green and Ashley's wasn't and the car in the picture has its number in a different position, So unless the car raced again in 1976 or Normal's definition of close is different to mine i am stumped.

Chris Amon drove it in 1974, has a white-ish helmet, and ..it could be Watkins Glen I suppose. But..I think we'd ruled out 74
I started supporting Emmo in 1976 (3 points )....missed 75, 74, 73, 72...

It has emerged that the image is not even from the 1970s, but the mid-2000s, and the driver is not in any way associated with F1 beyond the fact that he's driving a Motul BRM. All points will be taken back and a new image will be posted momentarily.

It's Tommy, but not in 1981 or at Brands Hatch.

Both correct (more pedantically it's the R3C/81, but I'm not that insane).

Gordon Sheddon, 2015, Snetterton, Honda Civic Type R?

I will be amazed if any of these are correct.
Murray Walker: "A lot of people here are really debating whether Ricardo Rosset is Formula 1 material"
Martin Brundle: "Well, it's a fairly short debate, Murray".

The car(s) in the foreground are Porsche 911 996 GT3s, and the car spinning is a Riley & Scott MKIII so I guess the year is 1997 and it looks like it's at Daytona. No idea about the drivers though.

It's a 996, it's Daytona, but not 1997.

There a Chevrolet Corvete C5-R in the picture. Which narrows it down to sometime between 1999 and 2001. So i am gonna guess at 2001 and the Porsche is being driven by Tommy Byrne.

2001 is right, as is Tommy Byrne (I'm assuming it was him that took the start seeing as he was listed first of that car's drivers on the grid).

I also promise this is the last time I post a Tommy Byrne image here (or is it...?)

Yes, it is, really.

Ok, so the tiebreak question for This Could Be You and peteroli34 (you can answer in the thread if you like) is this: What make was Tommy Byrne's first single seater?

Not a Van Diemen, though he won a lot of races in one later on.
