Attention all users who have or have had drivers in the F1RWRS.

For the wiki, I would like you to post biographies of your drivers here (birth dates and places would be nice) for the driver's page to be a bit more complete. Also, we'd get a deeper review of his/her career before entering the series.

Good call Tommy, I'd also like to request team owners provide background on their teams too as there are some woefully short bios on some of the teams at the moment, often written by guys like me who have very little to go on. It would be nice to see both drivers and teams padded out a bit so we have a bit of history and backstory going! :)

Having said that the wiki is improving daily, and really starting to become quite concise now. We only have a handful of F1RWRS teams left who don't have bios at all, I believe it's the same case for the drivers, so filling in those last gaps would be superb!

I've pretty much done the Mitie and Valsattis pages so I'll crack on with Pchelintsev's later. And the junior teams bio too.

i'll post more on my teams and young drivers when they actually achieved something, also i'm thinking of joining my teams (i've got too many of them) towards only one team in the future, so when the 2014 season ends, you can expect some new profiles.
I'll put in some slight updates on R. Mignolet and W.Lamberigts, while writing a profile for Van Dycke will have to wait until the 1994 season is finished. D. Mignolet doesn't need updates.
Like said before, i don't have the necessairy knowledge to put everything in it (like results etc.) but i'll write the stories on the drivers and who-ever feels it needs some extra just has to do it themselves.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

On the subject of bios, Tristan Jung's is already on the wiki and it is complete. I will put Plaza's and Pratchett's up as quickly as possible. However, here is a quick summary:

Jesus Plaza was born in Mexico City, Mexico on August 14, 1985.
Series: Formula Ford, F3 Euroseries, F1RWRS

Collin Pratchett was born in Pasadena, California on July 25th, 1982.
Series: Formula Ford, Formula Renault, ARCA, Grand-Am, F1RWRS

Don't know if this has already been covered or not, but what about the idea of having your drivers on contracts? When it comes to driver swapping or promoting youth drivers, wouldn't it be better to have them officially signed? That way, if one team wants your (pay) driver, they can buy out the contract in exchange for some credits.

Wethat's kinda why I have already (hopefully) made it obvious that Ben Fleet is a Foxdale-affiliated driver...

Also TMLW is running both HRT and GRM. So for arguments sake we could say that SuperAguri runs Kamaha, Jeremy runs ArrowTech, and TMLW runs HRT, leaving a further three spots which would free up the grid, allowing more members to participate more in the series, rather than having nothing to look forward to other than a crap pre-qualifying performance. It is a bit harsh, but fairer overall in my opinion.

Unrelated to the issues above, I need some clarification on teams, and their histories, for the wiki.

If you check out the list of F1RWRS teams page, you'll notice I've split up a number of teams that have gone through name changes over time. However, Klon recently pointed out in an edit of the page that surely Kahama and Kamaha, despite the (albeit subtle) name change and ownership change, are surely the same team, and should therefore share statistics. This could also be argued for other teams, particularly Gillet and its former guises of ENB and ECB, as well as Horizon and O'Lauchlan and Tropico and CR Motorsport.

Therefore I would be grateful if team owners could shed some light on where their teams stand and how they should be entered on that page. All I need is a simple confirmation on here about who is what, no editing of the wiki is needed as I can cover that.

So without further ado:

tommykl - Of your current team Gillet ENB, are it's previous guises as ENB and before that ECB considered separate teams, considering they underwent both ownership and name changes?

SuperAguri - Are Kamaha, and its previous incarnation Kahama, separate teams, considering they too underwent both name and ownership changes?

Wizzie - Were Horizon and prior to it O'Lauchlan different teams, considering one was created from the other for subsequent seasons and that they both share a wiki page?

I think the rest are fairly clear cut, I mentioned Tropico above, considering it's a fairly obvious change in ownership and name change, I think it can be considered separate to CR Motorsport.

Any others that people think are incorrect, either go ahead and edit it or let me know here :)

ECB and ENB were exactly the same team, with Jacques Swaters simply allowing the team to use the ENB name from 2012 onwards. For 2013, Gillet bought the team, but the core squad remained the same and the change can be considered the same as when Renault changed ownership between 2009 and 2010. So they are considered the same team.

Cool stuff that's perfect thanks, obviously the trouble with the wiki is because it isn't often explicit in it's meanings, it's often a little ambiguous and open to interpretation! I'll fix up that part of the page anyway! :)

I've just read the Wiki (rarely been on it!) and I want to thank whoever wrote the brilliant biography of the Foxdale Auto Racing Team. And all the details seem correct.

While we're on the subject, did you ever have any ideas for chassis names for the Foxdale cars? Couldn't remember whether you'd mentioned them somewhere previously or not! (And for that matter AMR and MAN?)

It was just a little thing I noticed when I was writing the profile up, along with details on AMR and MAN, not only the chassis names, but also engine suppliers etc. It's not a big deal really, if you fancy coming up with some stuff I'd be more than happy to put it in the wiki for you :)

AMR definitely had DeLorean and Peel as joint engine supplier and MAN was powered by MAN diesel truck engines. Chassis designations? Let's say in 2011, the AMR was the 007 and it was the 008 in 2012. (Just thought it would be funny, Anglo-Manx Racing sharing its initials with Aston Martin Racing...) and the two years of MAN chassis would be MAN-up and MAN-down. Thanks!

I am too lazy to formulate a proper press release for it, but I have good news for everybody - I have mastered the basics of Grand Prix 2 track editing and have begun working on a Tropico race track which may even be done in time for the 2015 season. :D

They are the same team i was just lazy and prefered the name Kamaha as it rolls better off the tongue then Kahama. Especially this season as we are Kamaha Yamaha :mrgreen:

Although I run Kamaha and Sunshine Motorsports, both came about as Kamaha was an original team and needed to be taken over and Kay Lon did not want to do it. Australian Minardi did not want to continue so I bought them out. I would like to keep both teams but at the end of the season get rid of one, rather sell one in a Ross Brawn type affair. Arrowtech is not owned by me, just Prince Falik having designs of being rich and famous. :mrgreen:

Not at all. :lol:
I rather chose an amusingly bland 1.7 kilometers layout based on the famous TI Aida Circuit. What you can give me, is the track name. Since the Tropico that the team is based on, has its focus on the Militarists, it is going to be named after the leader of said faction. But instead of making up some name myself, you can give me the name of your militarists leader.

But my design was epic with elevation and everything :(

I'll find the name of the leader of the militarist faction this afternoon

That is why it couldn't work, partly because I have not mastered the art of elevation in the track editor but mostly because it was too good. We are talking about a big project rushed on Tropico of all places. It has no right to be good. :mrgreen:

Basically, what this means is when the Bud 500 comes around at the end of the year MRT's lineup will look like this:

M. Simon

Hi! Came back from recording on friday (one day before expected) as my dog was very, very ill. I planned to run PreQ for Bathurst today but He passed on and i'm not in the mood but i'll probably resume tomorrow.
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.
