I'm thinking I might need a radical shake-up in my team soon, none of these losers seem to be pulling their weight. Even West and Johansson have barely featured in anything since the Tour de France....

Hmm, a Brazilian first name followed by an English language second with no given nationality. Until you let me know, I have him down as a Brazilian rider

A bump of epic proportions but I feel if the demand is still high I can get this series going again.
In the meantime here are the updated standings from the last 2 events, unfortunately there will be no detailed report about the Paris-Roubaix.

A close championship is also reflected in the teams standings.

Now this is more to check interest, though there is meant to be one more single stage classic ( Liège–Bastogne–Liège) and one more tour (Tour de Romandie) if you guys want we can make the next event the Tour of Italy (The Giro de Italia).

Yes! So happy this is back, this was one of the best championships on the forum before! I'm happy either way with the scheduling, though it would be cool to do as many races as possible!

Yep, I voted this as 'Best Virtual Series' in 2012 for a reason!
However, I wouldn't use this thread as a way to gauge interest. I don't check this PMMF subforum at all, becasue it's basically a graveyard. Others might be doing the same. Best make a post in PMMF Planning to see if that generates more interest.

You can join, you can even create a brand new team and a new bunch of riders if you wish.
I am not sure how many of the existing teams are going to return to the series so there may be an influx of riders from inactive teams for you to pick.
Regardless here is the template:
Team Name:
3 Letter Abbreviation:
Nationality:
Jersey Colours:
Player Creation Template
Name:
Birthdate (or just age):

Primary Skills: (Pick 3 of, Flat, Mountain, Hills, Downhill, Time Trial, Endurance, Prologue, Resistance, Recovery, Cobbles, Fighting Spirit, Sprint, Acceleration)

With the Firehawk operation turned out be a front for the Asian Mafia (they are the same guys that run the F3RWRS Team Asia, by the way), the cyclists themselves has bought the team and rebranded it as
Community Cyclist Initiative, now running under flag of US thanks to the new management run by the ex-Firehawk cyclists and an American businessman-cyclist Oscar Vance (age 35, fighting spirit, acceleration, resistance).
Meanwhile, Iketani and Tenpenny claimed that they received seperate death threats after refusing an offer to use the EPO from the Mafia. This led to an staff from the Firehawk team, who remains anonymous, getting fired for being "a snitch piece of shite and fat arsehole that sold us (the Mafia) out

" by telling the story to the media, leading to the collapse of the team.
CCI will run white and blue jersey, still with Samsung sponsorship.

Ok I will allow this.

Things are looking good that we can start soon, pending on some of the other teams returning. I have decided to carry on with the schedule as planned so the next event is the Liege-Bastogne-Liege

The
258 KM Hill stage is a fairly punishing route, although the climbs on their own are not all that intimidating the sheer number of hills and extreme length of the course means it won't be an easy run by any stretch.
Teams will be allowed to enter
8 riders.I am not going to set a deadline on entry until I know the status of the teams that are unconfirmed for returning.

Can new riders still be added to our rosters mid-season? I looked through the list of riders from teams who haven't reconfirmed yet but none match the criteria I'm looking for. In fact, there's only about two or three others riders in the whole ProTour who do, and all of them ride for teams who have already reconfirmed.
I do have my eye on a couple of other potential free agents however, especially a British one...

Well that and the fact he isn't the best rider over the heavy duty mountains. Though I would put West as one of the favourites for the next round, he just has to get around nemesis Jerry Fletcher.
