Cutting it quite close to a DNQ, aren't you, Chris... better do something good by halfway through the season or we're using the prize money to hire someone else.

In fact, it's a race win for Laffite. Double DNF for McLaren again.

woop-woop! We are more than happy with that result, which will bring us a large sum of money mid-season. Seems like we are in a good form even to battle for Constructors championship!

Right, I've had it with this unreliability.
We'll spend 400,000 on reliability, 400,000 on grip.

Alright, we have a car more fragile than glass. Bruno was on track for a good result (aka: finishing the race), but again, the car broke. Even if there's not that much money left, something must be done.

Yes, it's just that I'm quite busy at the moment, so I haven't had much time for this series recently. But from next wednesday onwards, I'll be able to run this series a bit faster again.

Re: 1978 Virtual F1 - Anderstorp race up
Before heading to the French Grand Prix at Circuit Paul Ricard, several teams were testing new parts.
McLaren and Ensign were testing at Zolder. As expected, the McLarens were a lot faster than the Ensigns. Fastest was James Hunt, followed by his team mate and championship leader Tom Pryce. Third was McLaren's test and reserve driver Danny Ongais, who will compete in the upcoming French Grand Prix in a second car entered by Surtees. Fastest Ensign driver was Clay Regazzoni, 1.2 seconds slower than Ongais, followed by Ensign's test driver John Watson. Bruno Giacomelli was quite slow, 2 seconds slower than Regazzoni and 4 seconds behind Hunt.
1. James Hunt (McLaren M26B) 1:18.685
2. Tom Pryce (McLaren M26B) +0.363
3. Danny Ongais (McLaren M26B) +0.925
4. Clay Regazzoni (Ensign N177B) +2.195
5. John Watson (Ensign N177B) +2.782
6. Bruno Giacomelli (Ensign N177B) +4.085
Meanwhile, Ligier were testing their large upgrade package at Dijon-Prenois with their regular drivers Elio de Angelis and Gijs van Lennep, as well as Henri Pescarolo, who was picked up as Ligier's test driver after Martini fold down after the Swedish Grand Prix. Despite de Angelis being the fastest on the long runs, Pescarolo and van Lennep set faster times over a single lap.
1. Gijs van Lennep (Ligier JS9) 1:10.009
2. Henri Pescarolo (Ligier JS9) +0.229
3. Elio de Angelis (Ligier JS9) +0.422
The fourth team testing was Tyrrell, who stopped in Silverstone on their way from Sweden to France. Fastest was Patrick Depailler, followed by Bob Evans and Jean-Pierre Jarier.

1978 French GP - Pre-Qualifying:
Having completed another quarter of the season, the list of the teams who had to go through pre-qualifying was changed again, but not much. March were gone from pre-qualifying, and Surtees escaped it due to 30 cars, instead of the usual 28, starting the race at Le Castellet. The smallest teams, like Apollon, Merzario and Theodore, were still stuck in pre-qualifying. The Martini team, who had failed to qualify for the last 8 races, had left Formula One completely. Fastest in the friday morning session was Kojima driver Teddy Pilette, followed by the two ATS drivers. Theodore driver Tony Trimmer also made it into main qualifying, as well as Geoff Brabham. Surprisingly, Boro driver Hans Royer finished 6th, making it into main qualifying despite having only three F2 races and some Super Vee races as single seater experience.
1. Teddy Pilette (Kojima KE009B) 1:49.228
2. Hans Heyer (ATS HS1) +0.059
3. Jochen Mass (ATS HS1) +0.182
4. Tony Trimmer (Hesketh 308E) +0.198
5. Geoff Brabham (Fittipaldi F5A) +0.540
6. Hans Royer (Boro 002) +0.679
DNPQ:
7. Rupert Keegan (Hesketh 308E) +0.705
8. Hiroshi Fushida (Kojima KE009B) +1.348
9. Bernard Darniche (Merzario A1) +1.823
10. Arturo Merzario (Merzario A1) +1.824
11. Harald Ertl (Apollon Fly 2) +3.182

Re: 1978 Virtual F1 - Paul Ricard pre-qualifying up
I noticed that i still have 2 races with no driver selected yet, that will just be for regular driver Henton. (edited at page 12)
Let's see if the upgrades make any difference.
