Hopefully Portugal can take strength from his history since the naughties against the Netherlands. 3 wins and a draw on official matches. And having a better result against Denmark in the aggregate of the two qualifying matches played in the run to Euro 2012. Anyway, it is a very strong group and everybody has good chances of coming through.

I have to disagree with DanielPT on two points, one is at least F1-related (though not thread-related ):

1. Unfortunately, there are people watching F1 whose hate for some drivers/teams is stronger than their support to others, I happen to know a couple of them.
2. England won't qualify from its group to the QFs.

That's not fair to Mikko. The situation was different. If Ford Europe had pulled the plug on the WRC programme M-Sport would have no more works backing and probably have to scale back their operation. Citroen was a safe bet. When he made the switch, Ford still hadn't renewed their contract with M-Sport for next season, and didn't do so until the very very end of 2011. While it does mean he'll be Loeb's whipping boy now, he never had what it took to beat him anyway.

And the lad would have won a race if not a for a technicality. Granted that Loeb had retired at that point, but that is a minor detail...
