Where is the Autodynamics livery? Someone (AndreaModa I think) did one a while back and I can't find it on there.

I did, and here it is in Aerond's set of images.

OK, I feel really blind now.

My best guess is that he's using two carsets (one for Pre-Q and one for Q/Race) and the spare slots are left blank. I'm using two carsets myself for the exact same reason whilst Lappy is using two full carsets simply because he can

And, obviously it will still look like crap if you keep on sending me a badly coded .jpg file instead of a clean, nice looking .BMP (or a .PNG at the worst). Enough effort I did managing it to load in Gp2Edit.

My bad. I honestly didn't realise it saved under a jpg file, even though it clearly says so in the link. I'll get on the computer tomorrow and re-save it as a BMP if I can.

RACE

Wow! Good, intense racing in the first part of the season opener. The 2015 F1RWRS season finally arrived and it was good to see many things have changed since November. We had good head to head fighting at the beggining, and then the second part of the race was heavily marked by Stig´s terrible accident; the misterious man was lucky to escape uninjured. Victory-wise the race didn't have much to see; Davies got the lead (albeit with a polemic move on Vantini) early and he slowly opened a gap which in the end was quite big. His solid pace demonstrated that the MRT may still be the car to beat, although is still early on; and Phillippe Nicolas didn´t do much to support this theory. More interesting was to watch the race of debutants Vantini and Battani. The new Jones star did everything in his hand to secure exposure; got the lead at the start and looked solid enough for the podium the whole race; Battani had a harder race weekend due to the equipment he has at hand, but it's undeniable that the boy has talent and made some impressive moves to secure 5th place (even though he sent Bosevic off the track in the way). There was also much expectation to watch three other teams; first, DGN, the current champions had a bad weekend; Ron Mignolet was slipping to minor points positions when his car stopped. Dagnall didn´t even get to pace all weekend. He slipped to 25th by the end of the first lap, and just when he was finding some pace, the car broke as well. Then, the Kamaha was also impressive, specially in the hands of Barii Mori, but they were as reliable as last year; not much. Last, but not least, the Aeroracing also proved extremely competitive in the hands of The Stig, but he ran wide at a dangerous spot and threw away the 2nd place. Up to then he was the only one to show pace enough to beat Rhys Davies.
All in all, it was exciting to watch the season finally rolling and it promises a lot now that the pack is much tighter than ever before since 2013 change of regulations.

ROTR -- Foxdale; They have slipped way back in the running order and they might have to face Pre-Qualifying if they don´t improve soon.

Well, interesting Pre-Q session!! This result is a big surprise even if the Tropico cars showed they can make it during pre-season testing. Favourites Kingfisher failed altogether while Boxtel made it. The fact that Simpson got in by ending 7th and 11th shows how tight PreQ will be this season, where a slightly bad drive by one of the drivers can leave a team out. PreQ this season is run in a single 15 min session so expect big surprises!!!

Blimey. Random grip sure does have a huge effect in the F1RWRS.

And who got out of pre-Q this time around and who dropped in their place?

This is a nightmare. We're into PreQ for Bathurst and it looks like we might struggle to get out. I got the best package I could for the resources I had and we're still miles off the pace with no credits to be able to improve. Just getting it off my chest!

Aeroracing look good.

Tropico out, Prospec in

IMHO, even though Random Grip is having a huge effect, slow cars are still slow and fast are still fast, it only is differences are much tighter this season so expect way more mixing. If we find Random Grip is too high however it could be revised, as we did last year, but for now, it´s being quite fun 8-)

Chris Dagnall said:

Well, that was a surprise, wasn´t it? I didn´t expect any of my drivers to be able to come even close of Pole Position, but Ron managed somehow to drive an incredible lap and there we are. Everyone is so close to each other that is hard to tell how things will come out tomorrow, but I obviously expect Mark to improve and maybe he can bring some points home. As for Ron, I´ve only told him to stay calm and everything will be fine.

I say leave it as it is on the basis that it'll make for an epic season. Besides, it might just be enough of an excuse to keep Melrose from losing it altogether.

Well, I can take from this session that I won't be alone down there, seems like more prominent names are with me at the back. So it'll just be about having fun and trying to take as much with us as possible which, given my previous Adalaide performances, most likely won't be much.

Although now I could throw a big stick between everyone's legs because for some reason I doubt that aerond has adjusted the race distance in accordance with the F1RTA agreement..

Douglas was a bit behind but still, considering he had limited time in the car and it's a one-off while Pippa sorts things out at Foxdale, he's exceeded our expectations. Tomorrow is going to be a tremendous fight and all I can hope is neither Stiggie nor Douglas will run into any on-track clashes, points and even a podium might be possible.

Barii Mori wrote:Woohoo, the Kamaha is flying. I was on provisional pole on the second day, but Ron Mignolet found a lot of time in the frankly underpowered DGN in the dying minutes of the session, it makes me wonder if they had the same time keeper that was doing the fastest laps in the 1976 Japanese GP as he wsa a second slower up until his last flying lap. As long as the car, stays together and no one crashes into me then I think me and Nicolas Steele will get a good number of points. I feel sorry for Hagane Shizuka as he was fast but he has a slow team mate, he should sign up Daniel Martins or Jesus Plaza, two talented drivers that are crying out for a drive.

I have done it!! But please keep on posting the race lenght and number of laps in the wiki

Daniel Melrose, after his fourth trip to the toilet that day wrote:Dave suggested a new philosophy on setup before the race to try and induce oversteer into the car and it worked in getting us into qualifying proper. If I wasn't so crook, I might have stood half a chance of hauling the car into the race itself. Hopefully we can keep this form going for next weekend at Bathurst and beyond.

We need to improve Mack's qualifying performance, he's too deadbeat. :)

Hold on, is Andrea Battani male or female?

I can't wait! I'd sincerely prefer being watching Tasman F1RWRS GP than doing this bloody gig I'vE got today.

Kay Lon wrote:I pretty much expected nothing else for this race but a retirement, my record in Adalaide has never been good - maybe because it's a shitty city, but that's a discussion for another day. Onwards to Mount Panorama, where we may be in PQ but considering that we are on level with Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport who steamrolled the session we will only fail to get into qualifying proper if anybody screws up. We even have a shot at leaving prequalifying again, so I am not worried about anything. Now I'd like to dedicate myself to the ladies, if you don't mind... no, wait, I think I have found something better to do.
