And I've already said why both he and Massa have the years - and what they are going to do with the helmets. I think that is a good cause.

I actually agree about tributes (apart from one-offs) but I liked the fact that Damon Hill's helmet design was the same as Graham's and stuff like that. At least Damon Hill never had 1962 and 1968 on his helmet though.

I think it's nice that the Hill family continue to maintain their helmet design, now in it's third generation in the form of Josh Hill. I'm fine with things like these, but I agree that the Bruno Senna thing isn't really my sort of thing.

Bruno Senna has done an OK job considering the circumstances
The mid 2000's Sauber was one of the best liveries in F1.

Vitaly Petrov has done a super job considering that Renault has basically been a bunch of headless chickens this year...

This suggests that Lotus Renault were less slightly boring with Heidfeld there. It also suggests that both Senna and Petrov are clueless development and set-up wise. And that leads me to my unpopular opinion, that I may change any time in the future mind you, that Petrov is overrated.

Nevertheless it is the driver who controls the set-up. The Lotus Renault might be very hard to set-up correctly, something that Heidfeld was, perhaps, doing with some success...

The really scary thing about Renault is that if we'd still been on the 2003 - 09 points system, their last point would have been scored by Heidfeld for 8th at Silverstone!

That's if they used the pre-2003 points. Otherwise they wouldn't have scored any points in 2009.

I think his last season went that way because he lacked experience. I wouldn't be surprised if Bianchi wins GP2 in 2012.

I know that Williams have been struggling in recent years and are now resorting to pay drivers, but surely Frank would draw the line at that, wouldn't he? Besides, whilst Bianchi may have gone through Ferrari's Young Driver program, Ferrari have been showing a fair amount of interest in Perez (and went as far as offering Perez the chance to test one of their cars).
So, the other option is that Ferrari might instead aim to poach Perez from Sauber next year as a replacement for Massa (I can't see Massa staying at Ferrari beyond next year), whilst Bianchi spends 2012 in GP2 and then gets a seat at Sauber for 2013 as a replacement for Perez. In some ways it would make more sense for Ferrari to do that, and there is a precedent for Sauber being used by Ferrari as a training ground (Felipe Massa).
