So, it's official. Tetsuya Takagi out, and this guy's in:
Driver: Wayne Rosberg (CAN)
Team name: Wayne Rosberg Racing with Loan and Credit Services Limited
Car number: 48
J.O.U.R.N.A.L's publicocrap section wrote:Wayne Rosberg, the 2013 Canadian Camaro Cup champion, has shocked the world by announcing his switch to Eastern European cars. Backed by a local financial service company LCS (Loan & Credit Services), who is notorious for having quasi-legal loan sharks and has been sponsoring him since his debut in Canadian Camaro Cup, Rosberg will progress to the Rejectful Eastern European Car Championship Series. Winning the Canadian Camaro Cup title in 2013 at just 23 years of age, Rosberg was a "gamer racer" since he obtained his racing dreams and experiences from video games before progressing to karts. Wayne is a fan of F1 driver Nico Rosberg (although Wayne is not related to him or Nico's father Keke) and, during his time, F1RGP2C driver Daniel Moreno.
Rosberg is aiming for open-wheelers and he even handed out the chances of entering the successor of RoLFS in the future.
Livery, with many gimmicks inside it.
[EDIT: Ignore this link, use the newer one below)

Not sure, haven't even saved it to my computer yet, let alone converted it to the right format and put it in the game - though I do have a feeling that the livery on rear engine cover may be upside down.
EDIT: Just put the livery in game, and yes the livery on the rear engine cover is upside down - also the Riiiiidge Racer Type 4 images are covered up by the headlights on the Polski Fiat.

Can you show me the problems? I got a new livery with fixes

EDIT: Here's it. I made the LCS on the side logos larger (IC-ly they demanded it) and added blue dot to the logo as a part of "loan shark" gag, (hopefully) fixed the rear engine cover livery problem, and moved the images to the side of the car.

Also, since I dont know much about just how things work around here very well, could you give me some tips on how to get started?
Plus this race looks so professional should be a nice gateway series to Formula 1

P.S. the sendspace link on the front page for the paint templates is down, FYI

Here's a further thought. Can other cars be imported into the EastCars mod in any way? I'm thinking there must be someone out there who's been watching a lot of Top Gear, and has made an rFactor version of the unpleasant log laid by British Leyland when communism crept, like an itchy red blanket, across the shop floor.

We could certainly use some Yugo, Zaporizhia, FSO, Wolga and Tatra to spice up things (especially as the Wolga is unable to make a turn

) Unfortunately the only other car that seems to be around in this mod is the Skoda F3.

Hell, I'd take the next step and make this series the terrible car version of the Cold War.
Get some nasty cars from the U.S: Ford Pinto, Chevrolet Vega, AMC Pacer, Dodge Colt, Mustang II, and the stylish Chevy Monza.
You could even add some bad cars from Western Europe (Austin Allegro, Austin Maxi, renault 5 LeCar)
Im sure I missed quite a bit of cars, but those are the ones I know that arent rebadged Japanese cars

How can you miss the DAF cars, the cars that drive as fast (which wasn't fast at all) backwards as forwards. And of course, the Citroën 2CV, which wasn't exactly a bad car, but is always comical.
Or, the most beautiful car ever: the FIAT Multipla!

My bad, I completely forgot about that Dutch car firm. If we're sticking with the late 60s-early 70s lineup, the DAF 46 and 55 would be your best bet. Though we could pass off the 66 as a volvo
And how could I forget the king of the bad cars out of the 70s: The Morris Marina! Though Im sure most cars from the British Leylands could qualify here

I don't think any more cars should be added to the grid for this season, however I'll make exceptions if you don't already have a car entered - I'll just remove one of my Trabants from the series.
No more cars have been added to the East Cars mod as far as I know, but there are a few other rFactor mods with some of the cars mentioned above. The problem here is getting them to work with each other, and to have them evenly matched. (here's the mods: Yugo -
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=YUGO, Lada Samara -
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=LADA%20Samara%20SuperTurism, and DDR mod -
http://www.virtualr.net/ddr-mod-for-rfactor-released). If anyone here knows how to convert cars from other games to rFactor there are many cars that could potentially be added (GTA San Andreas and World Racing 2 mods especially)
Finally, there's also a Volvo 300 mod, which is close enough to This' request for a DAF

...for those unaware, it originally
was going to be a DAF -
it was on the drawing board as the DAF 77, designed to replace the 66, only the company ran out of money before any were built, and Volvo bought them out, briefly continuing to sell the 66 with a Volvo badge. The 77 became the 300 series, and the clues to its origins were always there - built in the Netherlands, and only available with automatic transmission - DAF's own belt-drive CVT - for its first three years. The rFactor mod, though, is with the later (1984-92) Volvo grille.

anything that's good enough for backwards racing (or caravan racing, another dutch specialty) is good enough for this forum. If any new championships are coming, it's going to be something like that, because we have almost anything. I highly doubt many caravan-racing mods will exist. Perhaps bus racing, truck racing, or forklift racing would be exiting too. (hey, we had somebody doing lawnmowers, so basically we could use anything that has wheels)

I actually tried a free racing simulation called "Racer" because it had a mod for an 80s MCI bus. However, the AI was so rejectfully slow that it made snails look like Formula One cars. That and the buses didn't understandably fit on the starting grid.

Maybe a historic people carrier racing mod, à la Top Gear in an earlier series, is out there somewhere.
