Can't believe I forgot how kickass the Crono Trigger soundtrack was.

I'll tell you what, singing along to this with Johnny Marr and 30,000 other people in Finsbury Park this time yesterday is something that'll remain with me forever. Marr was nearly as good as the Stone Roses, who were absolutely top-notch.

Of the other support acts, Miles Kane was pretty good, whilst Public Image Limited were, err, a bit hit and miss. Still, at least I can say I've seen Johnny Rotten live.

Franz Ferdinand - Darts Of Pleasure

They're still my most-played Scottish artist this year, along with Amy Macdonald, Primal Scream, The View, and Travis. This is surprising because I honestly thought this year would belong to Biffy Clyro. That is, until the NME put them on the front cover in February, and in doing so published the most unflattering photo possible of Simon Neil on the cover. It basically looked like he'd had erm, a toilet accident whilst on stage. What's worse, the NME actually implied throughout the article that yes, he had pissed himself whilst performing. So now, every time I catch a listen of them, I can't rid myself of that horrific mental image.

So yeah, the NME ruined Biffy Clyro for me.

One of the best album openers I've heard for a long time.

Fingers crossed the rest of Beady Eye's new album is as good as that.

NME's the biggest pile of crap anyway; a poor excuse for music journalism. They only seem to have eyes for artists who wear raincoats and use acoustic guitars.

Regarding Biffy however, I've been really disappointed with Opposites as an album. As a friend described it to me, "it's like they've made a whole album dedicated to Radio 1". There's not a song on there that really stands out for me.

Anyway, it turns out Mumford & Sons might not be at Glastonbury this year due to an illness in the band.

I tend to agree on Opposites, it sounded fantastic on first listen, but I've haven't found myself really wanting to relisten to it. Sounds Like Balloons and Stingin' Belle are the only tracks that are really doing anything for me at the moment. A real shame.

Hope the Mumfords bassist gets well soon. If they can't make it, I wonder who'll replace them at such short notice? The only bands that I think could replace them are either Muse or The Killers, but then they've already played some huge shows in the last month or so.

I wonder if Michael Eavis still has Jarvis Cocker's phone number...

Just watched The Last Shadow Puppets (Miles Kane and Alex Turner) share a stage for the first time in 5 years on the BBC Glastonbury feed. Bloody fantastic.

Unfortunately, I've just discovered my least favourite band in the entire world, Enter Shikari, are also playing Glastonbury this year. Bathplug.

I'm spending all weekend avoiding Glastonbury coverage...

Anyway, there's a rumour that Lou Reed and John Frusciante may work on a collaboration, due to a cryptic "Codename: Frusciante" tweet from Reed. If this somehow happens...I would be so happy. Only rumours though.

Speaking of Lou Reed, I listened to his Metallica collaboration the other day. Yeah...don't do that.

The BBC Glastonbury live stream has being running an banner every time an artist swears on stage, apologizing if anyone was offended.

For crying out loud, it's a bloody music festival, not a teddy bear's picnic!

Though I suppose if they didn't run said banner, the Daily Mail would probably run the headline "BAN THIS SICK FILTH" in an instant.
