Thanks to everyone who voted.
Here's the next challenge:
I don't think parkland circuits get enough praise. I personally think they're amongst the best circuits to drive on, and best yet, they're at the heart of any city. Bernie wants to take F1 to the center of large cities. So we will come up with a solution to this problem.
I want a circuit which is in a park in a large city (min 1 million inhabitants).
Min 3.2 km
Max 6 km
No redesigning of current circuits. You can however utilize the same parkland if needed.
Some parkland circuit examples:
Melbourne, Montreal, Montjuic ,Crystal Palace, Valentino Park

Venezuelan drivers have obviously made some ground in open-wheel racing recently. With that, the next step is Venezuelan Grand Prix, to be held at Pastor Maldonado's hometown, Maracay.

But isn't everything bigger in America?
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5943373EDIT: Oh damn, just realised it has to be under 6km. Revised version will be forthcoming.

Roblomas52, your current submission isn't valid as the circuit isn't a park of a city with at least 1 million inhabitants. Please try again.
Keep them coming, some good submissions so far!

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5944429Here's my first entry into the relaunch of this competition after a not so stellar run the first time around. This time, I've designed a clockwise 2.2 mile blast around Central Park, incorporating a section of city block streets and the circuit's longest straight. The start/finish line is located at the starting pin, with the pits located at W 110th Street parallel to the start/finish.

Here's my attempt in Greenwich Park, London, circling the Royal Observatory and thus is at exactly 0 degrees, 0 minutes and 0 seconds of longitude. Pit lane would be along Bower Street (the part parallel to Blackheath Avenue), the paddock out towards the bandstand and hospitality in any of the buildings around the observatory.

Here's my circuit;
a nice run in Ojendorfer Park in Hamburg. There was certain track arrangement that lent itself to the shape of the lake, so I've tried to stray away from it.

I hadn't a plan what to do, but here's another.
- The circuit must be built in South America
- The circuit must include a section that goes parallel to the coastline of Atlantic or Pacific Ocean
- You can built a street track or find a empty area and build the circuit from the scratch
- The longest straight of the circuit must not be used for start/finish
- Distance between 1.5 and 4.5 miles

My barmy Lima Grand Prix:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5958825 I noticed there were a lot of overpasses, so I couldn't resist. And then the loopy on-ramp looked like fun too.
Realised I had no way of getting back to sea level for the start finish line, so instead a tunnel will have to be built from a bit after the 3 mile mark until the final corner.
Yep, I'm probably headed for Reject this round...

Would the Falklands be eligible for this? And how far north into Central America counts - would Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala be eligible? (Obviously their Pacific coasts, as their other coast would be the Carribean Sea...)

Colombia-Panama-border is the limit. I'm ok with Caribbean Sea tbh.
