Having seen both Pippa Mann and James Davies qualify for the first race of the year, De Lorean, as engine supplier to Anglo-Manx Racing, wishes to see their name on the side of the car. Equally, after both Hagane Shizuka and Douglas Mann qualified (the latter by just a few hundreths of a second!), MAN (their diesel engine supplier) wished to see their name on the side of the MAN team cars.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. The times are still in the right order though when corrected as 0:34.05.

Yeah, for every F1RWRS race there will be an Aguri Suzuki Cup race for those who didn't qualify. Just to give those who can't qualify on a regular basis a chance to win something.

ArrowTech is still looking for new drivers, despite having to switch to a Lamborghini engine, and to Bridgestone tyres. Nevertheless, ArrowTech looks on as we are going into 2012 head first, and we will achieve more than what we did last season!

This will be my boring, bland, sponsorless livery that will be used at all European races. I'm thinking of using a different livery for the Aussie and American races.

RACE #1 - NORISRING
Qualifying:
Jeroen Krautmeir picked up right where he left off last season by scoring his first career pole in his home country. Fellow German Kay Lon put his Kahama in a solid 5th, after the team scored their first and only win here last year. AMR and MAN both had a strong session, putting their cars in 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th. After a disappointing season, the Pacchias qualified strongly, starting 12th and 13th.
Race:
Lap 1:
Darren Older Jr got off to a better start than Krautmeir, allowing him to lead into the first corner. Likewise, Pippa beat her brother to take third. Shizuka got the jump on Lon, putting him 5th, while Hemo Goblin spoiled the party by not being able to pass Davies. Pacchiarini got Zimmer at the first corner, while Respati got Steele, Watkinson passed Jung and O’Lauchlan got both White and McAllister. In fact, White got the Super Aguri/Footwork thingy at the hairpin too. Krautmeir led the lap after a big dive at the last corner, with Older Jr second and Douglas Mann back up to third. Jones passed De Bock and Davies at the same time to be 8th, just behind Hemo Goblin and Shizuka.
Lap 2:
Shizuka got Lon at the hairpin, while Tristan Jung got a brilliant run down the straight and got to 12th rather easily. At the back, McAllister passed White, getting out of last place. Krautmeir still led at the end of the lap from Older Jr, but it was Pippa Mann in third now, in a massive battle with her brother. De Bock passed Jones for 8th, while Lon got back in front of Shizuka. Jung was now 11th after passing Pacchiarini.
Lap 3:
Shizuka passed his teammate for 4th, while Jones fought his way to 7th. Jung was now 8th, having a brilliant race, demoting Hemo Goblin to 9th. Pacchiarini got past De Bock and Davies to be 10th, while Davies and Zimmer were passed by Watkinson, dropping to 13th and 14th respectively.
Lap 4:
Apart from the usual position changes in the mid pack, the only pass of note was Shizuka passing Pippa for third at one end of the track, then Older Jr for second at the other.
Lap 5:
Krautmeir is classed as leading the lap, even though Shizuka is right beside him! Older Jr was still third, the Manns fighting for 4th, Lon 6th, Jones 7th, Pacchiarini 8th, Jung 9th and Zimmer now rounding out the top 10, just ahead of Hemo Goblin and Davies.
Lap 6:
Shizuka tries to brake later than Krautmeir, but leaves it too late and Douglas puts Hagane and Older Jr between him and his sister. Davies got past Hemo Goblin for 11th, while the Lotus of Richie Whte was way off the pace of everyone else.
Lap 7:
Lon, in an absolutely brilliant (and somewhat suicidal) pass at the final corner, jumps from 6th to 1st! While everyone was shocked, Pacchiarini followed suit and got to third! Older Jr dropped to 7th as he was forced very wide.
Lap 8:
Oh no! Tristan Jung has gone virtually straight ahead at the hairpin, and has impacted hard with that wall! He manages to reverse his way back on to the track, and holds 12th place for now, but has been shown the black and orange flag, and now has to pit. Lon holds the lead, but Shizuka was tagged by Jung and has dropped to 10th. The top 10 is Lon, Krautmeir, Pacchiarini, Douglas Mann, De Bock, Pippa Mann, Jones, Older Jr, Zimmer and Shizuka, barely holding his spot. Jung takes his stop from 12th, and drops to a lapped last. In fact, only the 5 lowest placed drivers don’t lap him.
Lap 9:
Jones takes 6th from Pippa Mann, and Shizuka battles his way back to 8th, passing Zimmer and Older Jr, who continue to battle for 9th.
Lap 10:
Watkinson’s in the wall at the exit of the hairpin! Forced wide by Davies with nowhere else to go. He continues, but is shown the flag. Pippa Mann drops to 8th as Shizuka gets to 6th, demoting Jones as well. And then… Respati is in the wall too, this time at the last corner, and is sent spinning across the track and beyong the pit entry, meaning that he has to go all the way around.
Lap 11:
As Lon comes past a slow Respati, he almost gets a taste of what it is like to hit the damaged drivers, but manages to get out of the way. Hemo Goblin, down in 11th, isn’t as quick, and gets to follow Respati to the pits.
Lap 12:
Lon and Krautmeir have now got a massive lead over Douglas Mann, De Bock and Jones, with the gaps and massive positional changes mostly being caused by the slower cars. Hemo Goblin and Respati make it back without anyone hitting them - except for Richie White, who got Hemo Goblin as the American pulled into the pits! Bad news for Watkinson, however, who still hasn’t left.
Lap 13:
In exactly the same place as Hemo Goblin hit Respati, White gets hit from behind - and it’s poor old Tristan Jung who is the victim. Both, again, get to trundle around to pit. But then, it becomes like Spa all over again, as Kay Lon gets caught in it too! As an added bonus, Krautmeir can’t get past either! AAAAAGH! Dean O’Lauchlan, fresh from being lapped (apparently), also gets involved. And Sammy Jones as he heads down the straight. And here is roughly where I lose track of the laps. And drivers (thankfully it tells me who gets flagged).
Lap *whatever*:
This leaves Douglas Mann in the lead. Er, sorry, he’s involved too. Make that Thomas De Bock. Hemo Goblin, Respati and Watkinson are all still in the pits, and don’t look like gettong out any time soon. Wait, De Bock has hit too. That leaves - no, Shizuka’s hit them too. Um, who’s still running? Ah, yes, Pacchiarini is now leading, with Zimmer second and Pippa Mann third. For Krautmeir, things get worse, as he beats Lon out, only to not see a slow Mann and hit him, necessitating another stop. Great… O’Lauchlan also gets out, but hits Krautmeir. Frank Zimmer hits the usual thing, and that leaves Pippa second and Older Jr third. Nicolas Steele gets involved. Sammy Jones is hit again… Oh dear. We have a crash that’s not related to this - Pippa Mann spins at the final corner and goes straight into the wall. Pacchiarini hits her…
Fast forward 40-ish laps:
And we have a winner! (Finally) Darren Older Jr takes the chequered flag for the win that could have been his at Laguna Seca. Only 8 cars actually crossed the finish line this time, although three ended up unclassified, and thus unable to score the points. Once everyone who should retire did retire, the race calmed down somewhat, and Older Jr won as the last car standing, although he did a run for his money at the end of the race, as James Davies started to catch quickly, having stopped 20 laps from the end for fresh tyres. And we know what usually happens when someone is on faster tyres, but Older Jr was just too far ahead.

That must be one of the best races I've read, I think you should tweak the settings a little but it's more fun when peope do silly mistakes and crash.

Wow, just wow.
First we had a decent qualifying session. Alright, the car seemed to be a frontrunner. I was having a great race, when I got unlucky - I couldn't avoid Tristan Jung. Then I was ALMOST leading the race but then I also hit the pile of cars. At least we had a good qualification and congrats to the survivors.

Woops, I made an uh-oh. To be classified, a driver must complete 75% race distance (because I'm more generous than F1). In this case, that is 48 and three-quarter laps. As Pippa Mann finished 12 laps down, thus having completed 53 laps, she is classified 6th. Kay Lon was 15 laps down, thus having done 50 laps, and is barely classified 7th. Hagane Shizuka was 27 laps down, and thus only completed 38 laps, so is not classified.

Joint AMR/MAN Press Release
This race showed potential for our two teams, although only AMR were able to capatilise on the results (and congratulations to James Davies on his podium!). Pippa and Douglas even enjoyed their little battle in the early stages of the race. Here's hoping for better success in the following rounds!

Baker, we're in the market for a mostly white monocoque with small green polka dots (or, if that's not available, thin green stripes). There should be Krispy Kreme logos on the front wing endplate and taking up most of the engine cover. Then, add a red stripe down the top of the sidepod line all the way down the car, and then one at the top of the airbox down to the rear wing. The wing endplates (and rear wing) should be red.
And can we get Goodyear tires on this beast?

Done my best. And I DID manage to get two Goodyear tyres onto it - two right-hand-side tyres! Can be altered if you want! (Except the tyres!)
