Yeah to be quite honest if I'm putting this effort in every other weekend and this bunch of lazy a*sewipes can't be bothered to follow me then I can't really see the point. Might as well quit now while I'm still slightly famous eh?

Sammy Jones is awesome.
It's Luca Badoer-Chaos Theory and all related material that should be ashamed of itself.

Haha don't be daft, I'd wager that yours was one of the better ones of the forum! It's thoughtful, detailed, and well written, though I'll thank you for the compliment
As for Sammy Jones, the retirement announcement was a false alarm, much like Mansell in 1990

So maybe simulating a massive crash at Hockenheim which puts me out of the German and Hungarian Grand Prix while Sauber's appeal suceeds which means I miss Turkey as well shouldn't be too hard then.
No that statement didn't make much sense in my head either... Phoenglish is really getting to me

Nothing to do with F1 but Im pissed that George Lucas intends to release the six films on blu-ray. Thats not whats bothering me, its that hes been holding back yet more deleted scenes.
Yes, Im one of
those.

Actually, George Lucas is a motor-racing fan so Im not being totally random. The Red Bull pit Clonetroopers were pretty cool.

But who would be the F1 equivalent of Anakin? Loved outsider boy who takes the big win, but ends up on the Dark Side (and unpopular with the fanbase) ...

Depending on your nationality(
![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
) it could be your man Vettel or Jenson Button, who also fits the bill.
Technically, as Anakin built his own pod-racer it could even be..... Jacques Villenueve! I guess that depends on whether Bernie Palpatine lets him.

I am soooo bored with F1 being on hiatus. Theres nothing going on anywhere. Dont get me wrong I have other things going on in my life (money problems, family, what wine to choose for tonight) but this is like seasons end (10 points for anyone who can get the tenous link to a classic rock album there). Who'se idea was this anyway? Damn stupid.
OK, rant over. Back to work.

these are the predictions that probably won't happen, it's like a rant-box for what you'd like to see, but likely never will.
agreements and/or heckling are welcome.
For instance, Massa will win by the end of the year, in a race where Nando bins it, and Rosberg will score his maiden win, with webber second and kobayashi third.

I merged this with the Rantbox, as there's nothing that couldn't be done in this thread that was going to be done in the new one.

I can't stand when people say Vettel's penalty was deserved because I somehow know that they would be attacking the FIA if it had been Hamilton in his place.

After watching this weekends Grand Prix, I was so strongly reminded how much I HATE the Tilke-dromes and the trend of moving Formula 1 away from the places it truly BELONGS. I don't get caught up in the culture or history of many things, but this sport is one of them, and taking tracks like Imola, Estoril, the A1 ring, the French Grand Prix, really burns me up. Yes, it was great seeing a night race in Formula 1, and yes its great to see Formula 1 trying to reach new fans the world over, but Bahrain, Singapore, Valencia, Yaz Marina, they are all SO F*CKING BORING. And whats worse, is the mockery thats been done to places like Hockenheim, Silverstone, and that AWFUL new chicane at Catalunya. I know its easy for me to say as someone who has never been in the cockpit, butt makes me crazy the way elements of danger (which for better or worse I think attracts many people to racing) have been siphoned from the sport.
One of my favorite, if not my favorite track of the last 30 years is Paul Ricard. The stupid-fast Mistral straight, the blindingly quick turn 1 (something you NEVER see on new circuits), the incredible sweeping Signes corner. Everything about that track even after it was truncated because of Elio De Angelis' death, was incredible. It was truly a test of courage and skill on the absolute limit. Spa is a reminder of just how awesome some Formula 1 circuits once were. If Formula 1 is going to run a street circuit like Singapore, they ought to race at Surfers Paradise. That is a track.

What happens, Eddie, is that Ferrari's team orders at Hockenheim is vindicated as a strategy.
The Incident was a problem only because it was a) blatant, and b)
unneccessary. A team order to cede the victory is offensive when it has no bearing on their championship bid, but much less so when it does.
