No. He hasn't been in a single seater since God knows when and the last time he raced American open wheelers was 2000. I'd say we give him a break.

Plus, I thought Montoya did about as well as Menu and Giovanardi did in the BTCC - all three returning to championships that they had previously won, all on the same day, and all ending up with mid-field results. Not at their heights, but reasonable considering that they had been away from the respective series for some years.

And THAT restart - whether it was the officials confusing the situation, or whether it was Will Power's fault, that was not clever. New rules for a restart? KISS! Sounds like it was potentially more complicated than it needed to be.

And finally, what happened to Charlie Kimball? I know he and his team are not the fastest, but they are not normally the slowest in the field are they? Not great from someone who won a race last year...

Sato's still not the easiest to understand when compared to King Hiro, but more understandable than Hideki Mutoh for example.
