Badging a Dallara chassis as 'Lotus', okay, since Dallara are pretty much standard cars you could buy by the dozen at Wal-Mart metaphorically speaking, but how the bathplug can you badge a Honda engine as 'Cosworth'? That is completely retarded. I do hope this means Sato will go to Lotus F1 in the future, maybe bringing the Honda engines back with him...

The IRL races on the larger oval tracks were actually quite good once the power to pass button was installed last season. That's what makes Indycar interesting, a combination of speedway racing, street racing, and road circuit racing. They're also able to have interesting racing on all three types of tracks. Indycar FTW.

I have to disagree, it ain't looking so bad and is the best one could have done with that sponsorship. But why do I have the mental image of the crowd shouting "You Fat Bastard" at whomever has to drive that car?

I really like the wii fit car, I never really liked the Ten-Kate bikes but what works on a single seater doesn't really have to work on a bike.

As ridiculously terrible as those puns are, I miss Tracy in Indycar/Champcar. Racing needs personality like that. Hell, 99% of racing just needs personality.

When Nelsinho took the lead in the 2008 German GP, there was a lot of criticism that it was a fluke, an aberration, basically saying he didn't deserve it. In the Brazilian Indy race, a similar thing happened to Simona de Silvestro and there was a lot of praise for the girl that was a fortuitous leader. Just for the record, I do think that Nelsinho is a disgrace and that Simona has indeed potential.
There is a lot of requests for rule changes in F-1, to increase the number of pitstops, but is that really what F-1 viewers want? Are increases in pitstops and yellow flags the path for F-1 to pursuit? IMHO, no. I frequently watch IndyCar, but I sometimes tune the TV to IndyCar just to snooze in the afternoon. Races in 1-mile ovals are for me a sure remedy for insomnia.
And let us remember that while in 2009, F-1 had 4 winning teams, IndyCar in this same season had only 3.

Taku did a lot better today and managed to qualify in 6th position in Barber Motorsports Park (nice track, by the way) in Alabama. Looking forward to seeing what he can make of it tomorrow!

I briefly flicked through that list, having already read about the session on Autosport, when I noticed the last-listed name, a name that lots of us wanted to see in F1 this year... Not much in an INDYCAR race that happens before the last full course caution, amounts to a hill of beans. However, I enjoy a race that is rarely ever decided before the checkers fly.

Sato was quick this weekend and didn't crash - his throttle cable snapped in the early stages instead.
