A pairing Marques/Rosset would be rejectfully epic.

Just for the fun in the press conference, I think Hakkinen/Raikkonen would be good too.

For on-track action, I would love to have an Alonso/Hamilton pairing back (with fair and equal chances). I think that Hamilton/Kobayashi would be great too.

Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

Susie Stoddart/Wolff and Katherine Legge.

How about Jaime Alguersuari/Slim Borgudd for a musical driver lineup? Though you'd need a time machine...

Alternatively, you could go with the slightly more possible Alguersuari/Jacques Villenuve lineup.

Also, I think a Jenson Button/Mark Webber lineup would be somewhat interesting.

Oon second thoughts, Alonso and Alguersuari in the HRT A-team (see what I did there? ;) ) then Docklands Light Railway and Maria de Villota in HRT's B-team.

Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi. Wait, what? Oh, wrong forum, never mind...

Nelson Piquet and Eliseo Salazar? Gilles Panizzi and Olivier Grouillard (Mr Panizzi does not react well to traffic).

Or, had Ayrton Senna gone ahead and acquired half of Jordan F1...Ayrton Senna and Colin McRae, Senna GP, 1996.

Kimi/Petrov (It could've happened. )
Kubica/Vettel (Bobby in a Red Bull would be FUN).

In IndyCar: Bourdais/Franchitti (both four time champs, in different series though.)

NASCAR: Kyle Busch/Kevin Harvick (that would just be bathplugging hilarious).

Especially in 2010. While Vettel was throwing points away like no tomorrow, I'd bet every penny I'll ever earn that Kubica would've wrapped that title up with races to spare.

Only two of those aren't winners according to the now famous Helmut Marko winner scale.

Yep, in 1993 both drove for Ligier. It gave quite the headache to Japanese commentators IIRC...

I would like to see:

Hamilton / Vettel
Button / Webber
A future one: I would like to see Michael Schumacher's son and one of Barrichello's sons as team mates in Formula 1.

Petter Solberg and Gigi Galli, if we're doing non-F1 now. That would be the craziest, silliest and most passionate team in the whole of motorsport.

More WRC...Colin McRae and Tommi Makinen. That would have been one hell of a team.

There may have been some confusion, but their names are in fact pronounced differently in Japanese. (Brundle = Burandoru, Blundell = Buranderu -- I'd post the katakana, but the last time I tried that the forum software just changed it into question marks)

That's how Japanese works. Foreign names are transcribed into katakana, a syllabary where one character normally represents one syllable -- Brundle, for example, is split into the characters BU-RA-N-DO-RU. (again, I wish this forum would support Japanese characters, it'd make this much easier to explain) The Us are basically silent and there's no real distinction with Ls and Rs, so it'd be pronounced basically the same as it would in English.

Edit: Somewhere right now, a Japanese linguist is reading this post and crying...

How about David Brabham and Gary Brabham? Great F1 name, little F1 acheivement, despite being reasonably talented.

Also, I would have liked to have seen the Finnish dream team of Hakkinen and Lehto at a competitive team together.
