I finally found time.
Buenos Aires, Argentina - RaceLap 1/20:
The warmup sessions saw some clouds build, and it began raining with around 3 minutes left. This weather remained for the race, and the crowd were in for a (possibly) exciting race. As the lights went out, Jeroen Krautmeir's Prost remained stationary as his electronics had failed. There was more action as Giovanni Roda's excellent start found him passing 4 cars! However, he messed up at turn 1 and promptly slammed into Damon Cannon's Arrows. KO for both cars. Up ahead, Koczo holds on to his lead ahead of Melrose and Christopherson.
Lap 2/20:
Emil Klok's race comes to a premature end as his engine blows up. A shame, as the Tyrrell was in a strong position to fight for a podium finish. There's a four way battle between Koczo, Melrose, Christopherson and Zimmer. Meanwhile, Shizuka overtakes Nurmester without crashing in to him! Yay!
Lap 3/20:
Everyone stays in one piece. The full order is Koczo, Melrose, Christopherson, Zimmer, Shizuka, Nurmester, P.Mann, McAllister, Chapman, D.Mann, Zapatero, de Bock, Jung, Herrtz, Mori, Spencer, Older Jnr, Kevin, Hughes, Davies.
Lap 4/20:
James Chapman hits the wall, and retires. On that same lap, Melrose attempts a move on Koczo, and gets close. Other than that, no action.
Lap 5/20:
Zimmer has dropped back from the leading pack. Pippa Mann, however, has stormed through the field (somehow, I didn't catch it, sorry) and is closing on Zimmer. On that lap, Douglas Mann overtakes Phoenix McAllister.
Lap 6/20:
Ed Kevin's suspension collapses. Koczo maintains his lead, but right behind him, Melrose is forced to give away his second to his teammate.
Lap 7/20:
Melrose isn't giving up. He's holding on to Christopherson's tail, and is taking looks whenever possible. Meanwhile, Pippa Mann's Lola is all over Zimmer's gearbox, and a pass looks imminent.
Lap 8/20:
Koczo isn't using the Jordan Civil War to his advantage, and the two yellow cars are still right behind him. The rain stops, and it's sunny again, but there's still water everywhere. Zimmer continues to hold back P.Mann.
Lap 9/20:
Pippa Mann overtakes Zimmer for fourth! The order is Koczo, Christopherson, Melrose, P.Mann, Zimmer, Shizuka, D.Mann, Nurmester, McAllister, Zapatero, de Bock, Mori, Herrtz, Older Jnr, Jung, Spencer, Hughes, Davies.
Lap 10/20:
The track remains wet. Up ahead, there is drama as Jack Christopherson spears into David Koczo as they turn into turn 1! Replays show that Christopherson's engine blew up, but that doesn't seem like a good reason to slam into your rival. Anyway, Melrose now leads, ahead of Pippa Mann in the Lola.
Lap 11/20:
Phoenix McAllister's clutch fails. Douglas Mann overtakes Hagane Shizuka for fourth.
Lap 12/20:
No retirements, no position changes. No action other than Zimmer continuing to fall back, and Douglas Mann closing in on him. Melrose seems to have this one in the bag, as he maintains the gap between himself and Pippa Mann.
Lap 13/20:
Zimmer mistimes his turn into turn 14, and collides with the wall! He loses his front wing, but it looks like repairable damage. Douglas Mann soon overtakes.
Lap 14/20:
Nurmester is closing on Shizuka, but both of them are being caught at a quicker rate (estimated) by Zapatero and de Bock. Zimmer's gearbox fails.
Lap 15/20:
Full order; Melrose, P.Mann, D.Mann, Shizuka, Nurmester, Zapatero, de Bock, Mori, Older Jnr, Jung, Spencer, Hughes, Davies.
Lap 16/20:
The track is now relatively dry. The first five dive into the pits. All five come out behind Zapatero and Mori.
Lap 17/20:
Zapatero, Mori and Spencer make their pitstops, after their teammates took for the pitlane during the previous lap. The first two rejoin behind Hughes, but Spencer ends up rejoining dead last behind Davies.
Lap 18/20:
Nurmester continues to threaten Shizuka, but no move eventuates. No other events occur.
Lap 19/20:
Nurmester tries several moves, but still finds himself stuck behind Shizuka, who is soaking the pressure excellently.
Lap 20/20:
The race comes to an end. Nobody got lapped, because during the rain, nobody was outright supreme.
