The first season of the REECCS has been completed today: would there be any spots available for champions/enduro winners?

1st in series: Niko Bellic
2nd in series: Dean O'Lauchlan
Enduro winners: Rick Simpson/Dave Simpson.

Quoting one of the announcements:
(...)They also announced that they will award three future champions - F2RWRS, F3RWRS and REECCS - with a test drive and one-off appearance (as a guest driver) in one of the races.

That means - Niko Bellic (overall REECCS champion), Mitchell Macklin (F2RWRS) and Tomo Kazama (F3RWRS) will have an invidual test session + they will appear as guests in one of the races.

Just a technical question... if this is an off-season series, shouldn't it technically be known as the 2014/15 season

I raise this because I looked at the wiki page, remembered that Vanina Ickx was involved, then thought "hang on, how can she be competing in a 2014 winners' championship when she hasn't won anything yet?" At least, not until the end of the season. Now I see, on the wiki, the test sessions have been held in January 2015...

With that in mind, any chance of securing a potential "guest drive" for the 2014 F1RMGP champion, seeing as the season is nearly (but not quite) over?

Numbers that I'd consider using for the potential champions (say, the top six), which haven't been used already, are:
Jan Magnussen - 27 (his first-ever number for the F1RMGP series, seeing as 2 and 9 aren't available)
Þorvaldur Einarsson - 28 (also his first F1RMGP number, seeing as 3 is unavailable and 10 is taken)
Bruno Giacomelli - 39 (from the dreaded Life F1 days)
Yuji Ide - 23 (from the Super Aguri F1 days)
Hideki Noda - 15 (current F1RMGP number)

Chris Dagnall is already going to be involved (isn't he?), HWNSNBM is anyway, and the first name on the F1RMGP entry list that presents a potential problem is Pedro Chaves, who is inextricably linked with number 31, which is taken, as is his current number, 11. I suppose his number from the 2012 season, 34, is a possible alternative...

I was the one who made the change when I noticed the exact same thing, abusing my powers as an admin on the wiki :P

As far as Daggers goes, I have no idea what he's doing as he's currently not on the entry list.

Well, Chris Dagnall (Aerond) didn't bother to tell me what car and number he wants. I take it that eventually he is not going to race in this series.

But we can't have a Rejects Masters series without Daggers?

Updated F1R Masters calendar
After further consideration, F1R Masters Committee decided to make some changes in the calendar announced some time ago.
Since the city of Birmingham decided to pull out their support for the series, Round of Great Britain will be held at Rockingham circuit.

Also, the additional round was announced - Australian Superprix at the legendary Bathurst circuit. In this round, apart from the already announced drivers, new champions will take part in the race - reigning F2RWRS, F3RWRS and REECCS champions will be racing as guest drivers.

Well, it's the same, the only difference is a Dodge Charger branding on it, and a different number.
You will see it very soon - just a little bit of patience ;)

Well, instead of slapping Pointrox with a large trout, I've decided to take it upon myself to revive the F1 Rejects Masters!

Having just acquired at Citroen 2CV mod for GP4 that I wanted to test, I thought that putting former world champions in crummy French crapboxes would be a fantastic idea. The concept would be broadly similar to the original but there'll obviously be a major retcon in order to make this all into some logical cohesive story. Anyways, the following drivers have received the first round of 20 invitations:

Chris Dagnall (1991 F1 World Champion, 2013 F1RMGP champion)
Jack Christopherson (1997 F1 World Champion, 1994 F1RGP2C Champion, 2 time Bud 500 winner)
Nathan McKane (2 time F1 World Champion)
Rhys Davies (4 time F1 World Champion)
Daniel Melrose (5 time F1 World Champion)
Gary Cameron (2010 F1RWRS Champion)
Nathaniel Spencer (2011 F1RWRS Champion)
Pippa Mann (2012 F1RWRS Champion)
Mark Dagnall (2 time F1RWRS Champion)
John Zimmer (1995 F1RGP2C Champion)
Daniel Moreno (1996 F1RGP2C Champion)
Shinobu Katayama (2011 RoLFS Champion)
Cave Johnson (2014 RoLFS Champion)
Niko Bellic (2011 REECCS Champion)
Mitchell Macklin (2014 F2RWRS Champion)
Tomo Kazama (2014 F3RWRS Champion)
Hagane Shizuka (2012 Bud 500 winner)
HWNSNBM (2 time F1RMGP Champion)
Þorvaldur Einarsson (2014 F1RMGP Champion)
Vanina Ickx (2014 F1RMGP WEC Champion)

As there are 22 slots on the grid, more invitations will be sent out on a later date. Each member who manages these drives is free to either accept or decline these invitations, however they can only run two drivers at any one time in the series). Numbers will be allocated once the entry list is full, mostly because I have to find out what numbers are available first. There will be four race weekends which will take place in 2014-15 off-season, much like the original counterpart, with each weekend having 2 50km races. Points will be allocated in the same way as the F2RWRS points system, except there'll be an additional point for leading the most laps and another additional point for the driver who gains the most positions in the race. In order to make it fair, each driver will start with 15000 base points for qualifying and the race, with a random grip range of 1500.

Hopefully, I can get the first weekend underway before I leave for India in just under two weeks time but failing that, the series will definitely start in mid-January at the absolute latest. And on a final note, for those who are interested, the next round of the F2RWRS will be live tomorrow at 8am EDST.

I'll update the cliffhanger thread. :)

Well, Vanina Ickx doesn't have an 'owner' per se, but she is currently employed by my Scuderia Alitaliana team so I guess it's probably my place to accept the invitation for her to participate :)

Then of course, she became champion with Scuderia Minardivas, which was ran by me. It's up to the organisers to decide.
Otherwise, if somebody planned a similar championship, one of you could run the teams/constructors championships instead (with one of their succes drivers)

Since Kostas got there first, Ickx has been confirmed with Kostas as her manager. I can also confirm that Melrose and Kazama have accepted their invitations while Mitchell Macklin has declined his invitation to participate.

As it stands, we have five confirmed entries (Kazama, Melrose, Ickx, Davies and Frank Zimmer who accepted a tier 2 invitation after John Zimmer declined his entry). Sammy Jones and Aurelien Moll have also been given tier two invitations, and more invitations will be handed out later today.

Considering Simona is currently racing for my WEC team can I use her, also nobody really owns HWNSNBM because he is such a boss

Go right ahead. If This starts cooking up a storm, we can just give him HWNSNBM to appease him. *Braces for inevitable papaya attack*

The depths of the Autosport news section wrote:Jones shuns new Masters series

Having been invited to join the newly established F1 Rejects Masters series, Sammy Jones has publicly shunned the event and refused to participate.

"I'd rather take a sh*t in a field if I'm quite honest" Jones told the one, lone junior reporter on his first assignment, "I have much better things to do than drive a French fart box around for a few weekends in winter. Besides, I wasn't even on the original list of drivers so not only have they p*ssed me off, they've then come grovelling when others have turned it down too in an attempt to make up the numbers. It's nuts. So if you'll excuse me I'll be busy sitting in front of the TV in my underpants, picking my nose and watching re-runs of Wycliffe on ITV3 because there's f*ck else on at 2 in the afternoon."

As of yet it is unclear who will take Jones' vacated place in the series.

Deal with it! ;)

The Herald wrote:Lindsay slams Jones again, but this time the subject is different

The ever mercurial team principa of Scuderia Alitalia F1RWRS team has done it again. Alasdair Lindsay has come out with another bizarre rant against arch-rival team boss Sammy Jones, this time making derogatary comments about his choice of television programmes.

"Wycliffe? Is this some kind of sick joke?" he exclaimed. "ITV3 is an old wifey's channel that only people with Alzheimers watch. So I suppose Jones watching it makes perfect sense."

"Myself and all the other men that are actually in the possession of a pair of testicles will be over on ITV4 watching reruns of chavs getting chased round the local Rotheram estate by police, The Professionals and maybe all eleven seasons of Cheers in the original episode order."

"Wycliffe? Really? What a f***ing tosser."

Gary Cameron is grateful for his invitation, but politely declines as he has no desire to get back in a racing car in any capacity in the near future, and has a lot on his plate trying to steer Prospec towards steadier waters.

Don't worry, Scuderia Minardivas is proud that their girls have become so succesful and will not stand in their way. HWNSNBM is not a girl. He could be a girl if he wanted to, but he doesn't.
