Our boys are starting to show potential in the fact that they can indeed run and run fast in the F1RIC.Rio Haryanto clamied an 11th place in testing despite a few glitches with the throttle.He says,however,that the problem can be easily fixed.Ryota Wong claimed yet another 20th place,made even more impressive by the fact that there were more cars on track and that he spent the past week trying to take English lessons so that we don't waste funds on translators for him.

The qualifying session for the Ford do Brasil 200 saw indeed some surprises. Hydook Grand Prix driver Andries van Heel took the first pole position of the year, bringing some satisfaction the Reynard. Hydook Grand Prix were the only team to buy a new Reynard 15i chassis, and it seemed to have payed off big time. Hydook's second driver Goran Jordanovic is on 12th position, but his time was only a half second behind his teammate's. Qualifying times were really close, with first 17 cars being within a second!
A slight disappointment were Cassidy Racing. While Ashley Cassidy place the Panoz-Toyota on forth place, teammates Brendon Cassidy Jr. and Ryan McReynolds got dissatisfying results. Little Brendon put his car on 23rd on the grid, while McReynolds got only on 29th place. But there might be some hope for Cassidy Racing, as their longruns have proven to be good, which probably brought their good test results. So tomorrow's Ford do Brasil 200 should be a very exciting affair.

Andries van Heel put on an excellent performance in today's qualifying session and scored his and Hydook's first pole position in F1RICS, as well as the first pole in the history of this series. His teammate - Croatian Goran Jordanovic - also scored a good result, just a short bit outside of top-10 and only half a second behind his team-mate.
Andries said: “It feels great and I completely owe this to the team. We’ve been working extremely hard on the car, trying to compromise our high-tech chassis with low-tier engine. The boys haven’t had much time to relax the last few days, so it’s good to put the car on pole for them. We will be partying like crazies.”
Goran Jordanovic agreed: “The car has been working better in Brazil, the team has worked very hard and been very focused and we can have a good race from there tomorrow.”

You can hire a new driver mid-season, but you still have to follow the 500.000 $ limit.

So this is the plan for the next rounds; today I'm going to post points standings and perhaps a little race report. I still can't post the race results as xkoranate puts them out, so I'm afraid you'll to resort downloading race results in the next races. If only Jeroen was still here, he could have told me how to post race results properly. Anyway, tomorrow will be pole and bump day, as the Indy Championship Series heads for its first oval race at the one-mile Walt Disney World Speedway, with the race results being uploaded wednesday. So stay tuned.
