If he really did say to the team "you're all stupid" over the radio that won't endear him to anyone there. I wonder if Ferrari could be looking for two new drivers next year. Hulkenberg simply must be one of them.

Schumacher said in his BBC interview that he doesn't think Alonso has got the team around him enough.

Hamilton's Facebook status

I just didn't get a lap together in Q2 today and it's hugely disappointing, not just for me, but also for the team and I can only apologise to them as we had a quick car today. Qualifying has always been a real strong point for me but it really didn't come together this afternoon. Q1 was fine but I didn't do a good enough job in Q2. I came off at Parabolica on my first run which damaged the car and it was a downward spiral from there really. We will see what we can do from here tomorrow. I'll be pushing like hell to get a decent finish!

Hulkenberg: No contest Whatsoever
Ricciardo and Vergne: Made Q3 in the Dry and JEV's meant to be Crap over a single lap
Van der Garde: Comfortably the quickest of the young teams
Ferrari Engines: Half the Top 10 is made up of Ferrari engines

Shockers of Qualifying
Ferrari Slipstreaming: Got it horribly wrong
Lotus: Their lack of qualy pace this year bit them hard here
Farce India: OMG what the hell has gone wrong here....
Adrian Sutil: ....Not that Sutil helped by impeding Lewis
Esteban Gutierrez: He's been poor before but just when the Sauber is quick enough to make Q3 Guti falls in Q1 AGAIN!!

While this is Vettel's 4th Pole of the year it's the first one he's taken in Full Dry Conditions such has been Mercedes Domination over the Majority of Qualy this season

Australia: Wet in Q1 and Q2
Malaysia: Wet in Q2 and Q3
Canada: Wet Throughout

I feel as though many drivers slowed on their final fast laps because of the cloud caused by Vergne's off. Hulk didn't need to and as a result posted that time.

I don't care if Vettel win just as long as there's some good entertainment and some twists and turns along the way. Anyone who says there won't be is clearly NOT an F1 fan

I still have some optimism for the race and lower down the grid there should be some good action.

Looks like Sauber will be having 2 new drivers next year then:

- Sirotkin's going to drive if Sauber can get his license.
- Hulkenberg's done enough to move up the grid.
- Gutierrez has been royally merked by this qualifying session and has got to go based on his performances this season.

I'd add Hamilton to the shockers list, because Sutil impeding didn't make much difference, he was already 1.3 seconds slower through Sector 1.

I'd add Hamilton to the shockers list, because Sutil impeding didn't make much difference, he was already 1.3 seconds slower through Sector 1.

It appears that, according to Ross Brawn, Hamilton had damaged the floor of his car by riding the kerbs at the Ascari chicane too aggressively, a problem that was then compounded when he went off again later in the lap. You're right, their straight line speed is unusually low for Monza - it did sound, though, as if both drivers were hitting the limiter quite early on the straights, suggesting that they have gone for an unusually short 7th gear for this race. McLaren are also a little slower than you'd expect for this race too - about 5kph down on most of the field - whilst Webber and Vettel, more ominously, are as quick on the straights as their rivals (only about 1.5kph down on Mercedes or Ferrari), meaning they're in the top four in the first and last sectors, but able to comfortably dominate the middle sector where downforce is a little more important.

Do you mean before 2008? I don't know man, you have to look back many decades...

According to StatsF1.com is was overcast in 1975 and there was mixed weather (including rain) in 1976 and 1981.
In 2004, it was damp at the start but that doesn't really count.

Hang on, it rained in 1956.
