Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Even though we haven't quite reached the minimum inactivity period for tristan1117 (but it's quite close now), he's had every opportunity to intervene in various actions, such as requests for his drivers and for continuation of his teams, and he has failed to meet these. Given the level of success many of his drivers have had in canon, and thus the level of demand for their services, it has been made necessary to fast-track their DEC reassignment asap to help canon move along.
Due to already having deals in place for 2018, the following drivers will have their entry to the Free Agency system deferred until the next entry point at the beginning of 2019; Dan Greenlaw (USA), Collin Pratchett (USA), Shane Walsh (USA).
All drivers aside from those listed above, and those unhired & currently without pending offers, will be put into a new race-off format called Reject Race-off: Stage III, hosted at Autodromo Treviso.
Provisional list of new entries to RRO: Stage III
Tristan Jung (USA) [F1RWRS, RoLFS, GT-R]
Johannes Rueckert (GER) [F2RWRS]
Lukas Zuber (FRA) [F2RWRS, IFRC]
Victoria Desai (IND) [F3RWRS, 3.5]
Roberto Zayas (USA) [F3RWRS]
David Lee (KOR) [Indy]
Veronika Asimov (RUS) [Indy]

Rejects Race-Off: Stage III
SAT 20 JAN 2018 | AUTODROMO TREVISO | HEAT A
49 drivers have arrived in the northern Italian town of Treviso, looking to impress onlooking talent scouts for racing teams around the world, looking for new drivers to recruit for the upcoming season.
Four drivers who were expected to be here competing have not shown up at all. T.K. Wolf, along with his young brother J.C, plus Finnish rallycross expert Mika Litmanen and F5000 runner-up Emilio Boni are not here this weekend, and are instead currently round the negotiation table trying to seal contracts of their own.
This puts the latest influx of newcomers to the race-off format in the favourites position. Big name newcomers include former F1RWRS driver Tristan Jung, plus young hot-shots Victoria Desai and Lukas Zuber. Other familiar names amongst the newcomers include Rusty Gannit, F1RWRS' one hit wonder, and Truck ace Quinton Vos.

22 Jan Maylander 2:41.044
23 Carlo Waladi 2:41.197
24 Tomas Ondrejka 2:41.449
Jung shows he hasn't lost his sharpness, having kept his skills up in 2017 with some occasional GT racing. Highly rated youngster Zuber is two tenths down, just ahead of another former F1RWRS racer, Brucie Kibbutz. The much derided backmarker Jan Maylander avoids the last row of the grid, beating both Waladi and Ondrejka.

Jung shows the youngsters how it's done, with a comfortable victory ahead of Zuber and Kibbutz. Drive of the Race goes to Haruhi Suzumiya, who after a poor qualifying performance, used his aggressive wheel-to-wheel style cultivated from his rallycross days to elbow his way all the way from 16th to 4th place.
There was some controversy early in the race, as Garry Jones and Quinton Vos collided heavily as the former defended from the latter. Jones soldiered on after losing several places to qualify for the final, but the damage to Vos' car was too heavy to continue, and is the first surprise elimination of the weekend, in unfortunate circumstances.

SAT 20 JAN 2018 | AUTODROMO TREVISO | HEAT B
The 'other half' of the field now gets their run-out, attempting to qualify for the grand finale on Sunday. All eyes are on Victoria Desai and Johannes Rueckert, two high-profile youngsters looking to continue their budding careers. Can they overhaul their experience counterparts such as Claude Speed and Rusty Gannit?

25 Juan Jose Rendon 2:40.691
Claude Speed edges Indian hotshot Victoria Desai by the narrowest of margins - half a hundredth! With Rueckert less than a tenth behind the leading pair, the battle for victory is sure to be a tense one.
Given her level of top-flight experience, Veronika Asimov disappoints, being thoroughly beaten by her fellow Indy alumni Speed & Gannit.
The surprise package of the session is Clivio Durand, who despite being in his mid-forties, has shown a great turn of pace to make the Top 5.

This heat was far more chaotic than the one which preceded it. No-one seemed to have their heads screwed on properly, and almost all drivers were making mistakes at various points during the race. One of the outstanding drivers of the day was Andoni Garrido, who flawlessly picked his way up from 8th all the way to the top step of the podium. Similarly surprising were Arthur Daniels and Dimitri Dzagoev, who were calm, efficient and determined in their ascendancy from 16th and 18th to 3rd and 4th respectively.
This was in stark contrast to F2RWRS veteran Johannes Rueckert, who bottled it early in the race when running wheel-to-wheel with Terry Stein. Rueckert was struggling for race pace, and in desperation of holding back the Canadian truck specialist, he ended up running both of them off the road at the hairpin. Both dropped all the way to the rear, and simply couldn't recover quickly enough for either to make the qualification cut-off. Clivio Durand, who had done well to start so high up the order, was obliterated by the incident as an innocent bystander, and also failed to make the cut.
This chaos allowed those who started further back to make up places, and Veronika Asimov recovered well from her horrible qualifying mistakes to climb to 7th. Juan Jose Rendon also stunned onlookers from climibing from dead last to 12th by the race's end, doing just enough to make the weekend finale.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
RUSSIAN TIME would like to make an offer for Victoria Desai to drive for us in FIA F2 in 2018. Desai has experience with Nebula in AR3.5, and as they currently run RUSSIAN TIME's racing operations would like to use a known quantity within the team to lead our championship challenge. She was originally supposed to effectively swap seats with Nathanael Cameron before tristan disappeared, and so we'd like to keep that deal in place.

Might as well get this offer out of the way:
Best In The World™ would like to offer Tristan Jung a place in their driver support group. We believe he is too gifted a driver to still suffer in exile for his supposed misdeeds and want to fuel his redemption tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a seat at this point in time for him, do however believe, that we can arrange a good deal for 2019.

Juan Jose Rendon completely embarrasses himself, 3.9 seconds off polesitter Desai and 1.6 seconds behind the next slowest driver Dan Budd.

A surprise outcome. Victoria Desai, easily one of the fastest drivers all weekend, lost her nerve entirely when push came to shove, losing the plot entirely when defending from the chasing duo of Kibbutz and Zuber. In the end, against most odds given before the weekend, Kibbutz ended the victory, several seconds up the road from Lukas Zuber. Tristan Jung was close behind, taking the final podium spot.
Relatively disappointing were Claude Speed and Rusty Gannit. The Indy veterans were hotly tipped for Top 5 finishes each. Speed did little more than fail to live up to his name, clocking a mediocre pace that saw him lose a handful of places over the three quarters of an hour the race ran. Gannit meanwhile got involved in too much argy-bargy, damaging his ride and capitulating positions like no tomrrow. He will be disappointed to have managed only 19th place when many suggested he was a dark horse for a podium finish.
Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
I'd like to sign Victoria Desai. As my FR3.5 team is already full for the season, and I'm only on the waiting list for Formula 2, I would try to find her an F2 seat in a different team. Additionally, she would get an ARWS test at the official young driver test with Kjellerup.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
T.K. Wolf
The stakes are higher this time. His patience has paid off, and three different race drives have been offered to him. The best offer presented is from DGNgineering - talk of race drives as soon as 2019 is very enticing, especially as he will be allowed to look elsewhere for his debut if a DGN seat is not forthcoming. Precision also have a good track record in F1, but their bid offers less freedom to pursue career progression opportunities. His first impressions of the Scuderia Aqua offer, meanwhile, are bordering on derisory, given their track record in F2RWRS compared to his other suitors.
1-60 DGNgineering F2
61-99 Melrose Racing Team F2
100 Scuderia Aqua F2
79! Clearly there was something about MRT/Precision that Wolf was keen on. What that is, as a completely sane observer, is hard to tell - but regardless, off to MRT he goes.
Emilio Boni
Ranges formulated by pi314159, RNG rolled by Ataxia
Boni has a solitary offer, from Trueba Junior team to race full-time in Formula 2. The Italian driver, who finished 3rd overall in F5000 last season, can clearly see the merits of the offer, but a small part of him is still gnawing away at his brain. No, it's not a tumour, but rather the urge to go back to F5000 and have another crack at winning the title he came so close to lifting last year.
1-90 Formula 2 with Trueba
91-100 Waits for a Formula 5000 offer
64. Boni heads back home from Oceania, joining Italian outfit Trueba to make his F2 debut.
J.C. Wolf
At this point, it's starting to look as if J.C. is, rather successfully, riding on the coat-tails of his far more successful brother. Having already knocked back a nondescript agency offer from Valerian, Scuderia Aqua have come calling for his services. While T.K. wouldn't give the Italian team the time of day, J.C. is infinitely more interested in the proposed drive.
1-95 Accepts
96-100 Waits for an offer from another team with a better track record
35. Wolf will line-up on the F2 grid against his brother, at the Scuderia Aqua team.

Victoria Desai will be offered a place. Will be in the lookout for any F2 ride avalaible, plus the chances of an ARWS YDT seat, and a guaranteed seat at Valerian's F1 team for 2019. Plus she will hired with immediate effect as simulator driver for the rest of the 2018 season.
Tristan Jung will be offered the seat for Mitsuri's ECV2, starting from round 3.
Juan Jose Rendon will be offered the works seat Skoda, starting from round 3, replacing Jozo Vlahovic.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Victoria Desai
Unsurprisingly, many suitors are clambering over each other for this young Indian's services. Desai has been reasonably successful in both F3 and AR 3.5, and so it is little surprise that many are looking to hire her.
Top of the list is RUSSIAN TIME, run by her previous employers Nebula. Happy with her performances with their 3.5 squad last season, they want to send her to F2, with Nathanael Cameron already having headed in the opposite direction, thanks in part to the major motorsport shuffle that occured at the end of 2017. Peak Aeroracing Engineering have also offered her a drive with their F2 team.
Valerian and Kjellerup have also made management offers, but would need to land her a ride with an F2 team themselves, as they do not have their own entries. The Valerian offer has a more interesting flavour, with promises of a drive with their Formula 1 team in 2019.
1-60 RUSSIAN TIME F2
61-85 Peak Aeroracing F2
86-95 Valerian Management (+ Venturi YDT + Venturi 2019 contract)
96-100 Kjellerup Management
87! Valerian secures one of its most high profile clients yet, with Desai trusting her future will be in safe hands with the French organisation.
Tristan Jung
Jung, the most experienced driver of all currently seeking employment, has two somewhat unsurprising offers on the table. Best In The World have made promises of a career revival, albeit without a drive to go with those promises. Meanwhile, Mitsuri Engineering want him to race their part-time entry in Group B Rallycross. It's something, but hardly the calibre of offer someone with his CV was looking for. There is a strong temptation to bide his time and see if a stronger offer comes along later.
1-25 Mitsuri Lancia GBRC
25-50 Best In The World Management
51-100 Waits for better offers
43. BITW have an international presence, and he puts faith in them to find him a position befitting his level of experience in the near future.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Juan Jose Rendon
Ranges supplied by Salamander and Miguel98, RNG rolled by Miguel98
The Spaniard has two offers - half a season with Respol Hispania SEAT in IPC B-Class, or a works Skoda drive in Group B RX. His past experience was in touring cars, so he favours the IPC offer.
1-70 Repsol SEAT IPC
71-100 Skoda GBRC
57. Rendon elects to remain in his comfort zone with Repsol Hispania's touring car effort.
Lukas Zuber
Has only the one offer, to continue in Formula 2 with the Peak Aeroracing team. It's where he wants to be, so unless he has lingering doubts about the Peak buy-in, he has little reason to refuse.
1-95 Peak Aeroracing F2
96-100 Not satisfied with the team in question, wants to wait for another F2 team to request his services.
27. After missing out on Desai, PAE are able to snap up Lukas Zuber instead.

I am giving you his DEC. This has nothing to do with the free agency.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Roberto Zayas
Zayas is a man with an opportunity, but perhaps not the one he was expecting. After a failed attempt at a single seater career seemed to have ended with some pretty poor performances in F3RWRS, he looked to have found redemption in touring cars, with some promising results in AR GTi last year. However, his only offer comes from the land down under, to race F5000 with Spanish team Carrera Granada.
1-60 Sees this as his only chance to save his racing career, accepts
61-100 Hedges his bets that someone in Leon Supercopa will get the sack mid-season and he can take advantage, waits for management offer to get back into tin-tops
57. Zayas will take the relative security of the F5000 offer, but a case of "what if" lingers in his mind regarding touring cars.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Brucie Kibbutz
Brucie has been waiting a long, long time. After his rise through single seaters came to an abrupt halt not long after making the jump to F1RWRS, he was left out in the cold. The phone never rang, he had no money to buy his way into a seat either. But finally, an opportunity.
1-95 FIA Prototypes drive with MK Scuderia
96-99 FIA Prototype reserve status with series organisers
100 Only wants single seaters
40. Kibbutz is back in business, signing with MK Scuderia's fledgling sportscar team.
Giuseppe Colombo & Oscar Duck III
This isn't the first time in this situation for either of these guys. They know how long and tough the wait can be just to get any offer at all when your racing CV isn't quite up to scratch. There's no guaranteed running time of any sort as a sanctioning body employed reserve, but with little else on the table last time they went through this, is it worth turning it down?
1-75 Accepts
76-100 Wants something that gives some sort of guaranteed seat time
Colombo 50
Duck III 65
Both accept the offers of reserve position, clearly not at all hopeful anything else of note would arrive at a later date.
Haruhi Suzumiya
Suzumiya surprised many by turning down the works MG squad in GBRC. Now, a privateer team from his homeland wants him for their 240RS "kit-car", which competitively speaking promises to be even less enticing than the MG. Having seen both Litmanen and Malmstrom sign works deals, Suzumiya might fancy a vacancy opening up in one at a later time.
1-60 Dojo Nissan GBRC
61-100 Wants an offer from a factory GBRC team
34. Apparently being part of a team from closer to home is a more appealing prospect than a better supported foreign team.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Given HawkAussie has oficially left the PMMF (see ARWS thread, page 13), DGN management want to take care of Akira Yamamura from this point on.
DGN Management can offer Akira an stable ARWS career without the need of being tied to a team for too long and without the hassle of having to find another drive if the team owner decides to fire him. We will nurture the driver, offering always the best possible seat, as we have shown during many years with the long lasting careers of Mark Dagnall, Fredo Mestolio, Jesús Plaza and Hansuke Shioya, who, season after season, have found themselves a home in the increasingly competitive world of ARWS. For now, DGN management can offer Akira a seat at Kamaha to finish the current season, with the chance of a one year extension if the deal is satisfactory for both parts and the chance to pitch him to other teams in case he or Kamaha are not happy. We would like to remind Akira that Kamaha is a team on the up as recent performances by Daniel Melville in Austria and Germany and we're convinced it's the ideal place to grow after a difficult first half of the season at Tassie, he'll be able to qualify for races and from then on see his options for the 2019 season without having to tie for absurdly long contracts.
If interested please contact Margaret White on +44 xxxxx xxxxx

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Jones Racing will offer Akira Yamamura a spot at an exclusive and private test to determine their 2019 driver line-up with the offer of a full time drive on the table should the test be a success. Jones can guarantee a level of competitiveness for Yamamura in 2019 with one of the best chassis packages on the grid. Should the drive be awarded to another driver, Yamamura will be handed official reserve driver role at Jones and due to his high demand, will be allowed to remain race sharp by racing at a competitor ARWS team in 2019, such as Lotto should they still wish to sign him.
Quick question regarding other AWOL members such as Salamander's drivers. Are they effectively frozen until the next Race of Rejects?

Kamaha (me) have agreed with DGN management (Aerond) that we will offer Akira a drive for the rest of the season with a possibility of an extension for 2019.
We will also not stop Akira from testing with any teams for the remainder of the season for a 2019 drive.

Union Saver Developments wants to offer Akira Yamamura the position of tester for the remainder of the ARWS' 2018 season. Depending on his ability and the amount of backing he can offer (since he turned his back on us on the 2018's silly season), he can be an option for the 2019 campaing
Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
Venturi will offer Akira Yamamura a reserve driver spot in their ARWS operation. He will get a minimum of five mid-season tests, and, on top of that, we will try and search for other available drives for him at this season (2018) to gain more experience for a possible drive in Venturi for 2019.

Re: 2018 Free Agency - Sign Drivers
To allow enough time between his DEC being settled and the next ARWS race, which will apparently be this weekend, I have moved forward the deadline for Akira Yamamura by 24 hours. So in essence, there are around 30 hours left on the clock. If you plan to make an offer and haven't done so, do it now!
