Will Stevens is going to be testing for Caterham at the GP2 end of season test, along with Facu Regalia, Rio Haryanto and Alexander Rossi.

As a fellow excitee of female racers this is fantastic news. Whoever chose her must be given a Gold Medal right now. She'll be more impressive in 2 races than Carmen Jorda will have been all season

A comment on F1Fanatic said that Coletti has been partying too much since Monaco. If that's true then that's an odd way to have a drop in form

It did harm Jenson Button though, I remember Benetton (or BAR) being distinctly unimpressed by his lifestyle to the extent that many teams were reluctant to hire him.

Credit where credit is due, Alex Rossi the first American ever to win a GP2 race. Scott Speed got a shot with less than that. Hopefully Alex looks decent in Austin in two weeks.

Congrats to Rossi. I think Rossi is actually good enough for an F1 drive, and he is one of the cleaner drivers in GP2. He should be the first American F1 driver who was good in a while.

On another note, Rossi is an Italian last name, just like Andretti. I sign of hope, people?

Hope that the incident doesn't do any long-term damage to Tom's back.

It's weird that, although the FIA is striving to constantly make the sport safer, they then decide to put what are essentially launch ramps on the insides of the corners because they're too incompetent to think of other ways to reduce corner cutting. I seriously hope we won't see a similar incident in the main event tomorrow, when the speeds are even higher.

That's why I cringed heavily when I first saw the esses at COTA, because the inside of every turn had a foot high orange kerb. Not only do they cause terminal damage to suspensions (which can be extremely dangerous), they cause cars to fly and cause incidents like Dillman/Lancaster in slow corners. Cars can even fly in high speed turns with those kerbs as well, the Rolex series race at COTA proved that as Scott Pruett hit one of the kerbs overtaking a slower car and flew into the air, and lost some steering components (if I'm not mistaken), and the front bodywork. He still finished that race along with co-driver Memo Rojas in 3rd, driving their rears off to do so. So overall, the FIA's road safety campaign is a fallacy when you look at the side of the FIA that says "Formula 1 Racing." I think road safety is not just road cars, it's F1. F1 is run on a road, right? So the road safety campaign is about as misleading as some of the more derisory fallacies in the world.

Plus, with the road safety campaign, there will never be a cure to the road accidents. You can't fix "Stupid."

And with THAT move of Sainz in the last race, Kyvat have more reasons to celebrate your championship.

Well, I'm told Cecotto crashed yet again to wrap up the season, although astonishingly it wasn't his fault for once as he was apparently hit by Nasr. And even more surprisingly, Can'tamasas managed to score another point.

Canamasas did a good job out there for me. I think it was one of his best races of the year. Daniel Abt scored a fantastic 5th place to help ART record their biggest haul of points in a season. Hope Abt can repeat this more often. RUSSIAN TIME are the champions in their rookie season.

Carlin are ROTR for showing a masterclass in how NOT to win a Constructors title

Still doesn't change the fact Abt has had the single worst full season for an ART driver in history, and probably wrecked any momentum his career had up until that point.

This was only the second GP2 season under the new point-scoring system (25 for the feature win, 15 for the sprint; till 2011, we had 10 for the feature win and 6 for the sprint)..so it's obvious they had more points...
Also,taking even that little detail out of play, the fact is wrong. ART (running as Lotus GP in 2012) got 336 points whereas their haul this year was a measly 168.

So... is it me or are the top five GP3 drivers generally better than the top five GP2 drivers? That's just wrong.

2010 was close...Maldonado, Perez, Bianchi, Clos and Bird.....versus Gutierrez, Wickens, Mueller, Rossi and Haryanto...

Also 2011: Grosjean, Filippi, Bianchi, Pic and van der Garde...versus Bottas, Calado, Melker, Müller and Quaife-Hobbs. Of the GP3 drivers only Bottas and (possibly) Calado show real quality, whereas Grosjean, Bianchi, Pic and van der Garde have all made it to F1 and acquitted themselves reasonably well. I think it's a little too early to judge the class of 2012 or 2013 from GP3 yet, though both years have seen GP2 with a weak(ish) grid.
