If you're interested, I was spending time in the Skibbereen area. Managed to drive there from the Thames estuary on one tank of fuel (via Pembroke to Rosslare ferry) and was 1/2 gallon short of making it home on another tank of fuel (via Dublin to Holyhead ferry). Lovely weather on two full days I was there, raining on two days of travelling. Great scenery. (1 tank = 40 litres/9 gallons, where 1 gallon = 4.546 litres).

My theroy about days is completely wrong as today was actually good. I just hope that this isn't a bad omen for tomorrow.

Go out, meet new people, do some charity, practice some sports, sing in the rain, whatever, but don't make the forum your primary priority on your life.

I briefly took this place too seriously back in the day (late 2009/early 2010 I think, as I was in the so-called 'Doss Year' at school), and it's really a waste of your time tbh when it reaches that stage. The posts above discussing the minutiae of ppds on a real competitive level are, to be frank, and I'm sorry for this guys, a bit pathetic.

No you shouldn't feel like you've done something wrong at all. Phoenix's original point is spot on, being in a forum isn't about your post count or your ppd, its the contributions you make to the forum that make you who you are. To take two examples, Mario and Faustus are two exemplary members who consistently write some excellent posts and have a wide knowledge that they are willing to share with the rest of the community. Now obviously we're not all clued up in mechanical and aerodynamic aspects of F1, and we haven't all been Enrique Bernoldi's engineer, but as a member when you contribute and post you should do so for the benefit of the community, and make it a more interesting, rich place full of well-informed opinions and information. Otherwise people will start to disregard what you post because 80-90% of it will be throw-away comments or posts of little importance. And when that happens, people will have very little time of day for you and your time in the forum won't be as enjoyable as it probably could be. I visit the forum almost every day, but I don't always post because I feel I sometimes can't add anything new to a topic or there is little for me to comment on because I may not know as much as others. But just because I post less, it doesn't make me unhappy, and people don't loose respect for me. Often it can actually be a better way of contributing to the forum.

Please don't take this the wrong way, it's merely advice to help you avoid the sort of comments that people, myself included, have either made or felt like making because of the conversations going on in threads like these. I hope that's okay!

Thank you AndreaModa for clearing that up. I didn't take that the wrong way, it's just you guys commenting here has made appeciate the error of my ways, and I fully appreciate where you're coming from. I realise that most of my posts over the last week were off hand comments, one liners, and generally not informative, for which I apologise. I also apologise for being a general nuisance lately. It was not done with malicous intent but rather a general eargerness to be a part of things. I am angry at myself for allowing my reputation here be slashed due to my own carelessness. Here's to F1Rejects continuing to be a source of well-informed discussion!

Indeed it is, reflected by your post count. However, of late, I have been doing the exact same thing so I can't complain, otherwise I'd be a hypocrite.

I honestly think that most of my posts are just pure crap, but that is mainly due to me generally having too much free time. Even so, I don't really feel like I have got much to offer the forum anyway.

Because i don't have much to contribute, i don't say too much.
I prefer staying in the background a little bit.
