Might as well stick my top 10 records up here. (one from each band)
1. Radiohead - Kid A
2. Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
3. Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley
4. Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
5. Pearl Jam - Ten
6. Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures
7. Pixies - Doolittle
8. Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
9. Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come
10. Muse - Showbiz
Below PJ's Ten, I couldn't really put them in order.
I'm in a rock band myself (not really a band, just a few dudes playing together. Haven't released any music and don't have any plans to), so music is pretty much my life.

I know I have questionable taste in music, but
surely everyone likes Ultravox?

Who are Ultravox? Means nothing to me.

This song isn't that bad at all. Not really my taste but i wouldn't get ear cancer when i listen to it
For me the best band is still Led Zeppelin, followed by Deep purple, pink floyd and system of a down(they share 2nd place)

An Ian Brown related video...I watched this film for the first time in years, and had to do a double-take...

Has anyone seen the concert documentary that they made when the band reunited? I saw the trailer on iTunes, got some chills when "Made of Stone" came on with montages of the late 80s, and then I never saw it.

I really need to try Warpaint some time in the near future...
It's been too long since I last posted some OCS goodness in this thread.

This month is the 25-year anniversary of
Technique by New Order, in my opinion the last truly great NO album.

I've given
Warpaint a listen today, and I quite like them. Might go and get their discography in the next few weeks.

Ah, I see you're one of the guys who didn't get swayed by Coldplay's Parachutes in 2000

And I'm obsessed with the intro on
this. I know it's a simple acoustic piece, with four basic chords, but still..

Hmm, isn't that the band that Jenson Button sings for when he hasn't got any motorsport commitments? I remember they had a few hits, but don't think they ever made it big...
Suede - The Asphalt World. From the Dog Man Star album, probably the darkest Britpop album ever recorded.

Anyone with an interest in dance music might like the stuff I post on my music blog. Lots of nu-disco, synthwave, dreamwave, french house, disco house, bass music, and music from artists in countries not traditionally recognized for electronic music.

Also. DosBoot, awesome selection in all your previous posts.

Thanks. Gotta thank
this movie for bringing my interest towards that genre of music. Nice blog you have there as well. I think I've found a few I'm already interested in getting.

Thank you. Pretty much all of stuff I wanted on you're blog was already free to download at soundcloud. That said, to help return the favor, if you're looking for anything good that you may not have found yet, I can help point you in the right direction.

Quite probably my favourite song of all time Bear in mind, this video is even more "feelsy" than most of Chase and Status's other vids, so if you're of a nature to be offended or whatever by the domestic violence in this, look away. Listen though. You won't regret it.

Of particular interest to DosBoot and F1000X, I saw Anamanaguchi and Sabrepulse play in London. As synthy, 8-bit gigs go, both were pretty damn good, entertaining at least. Here's a couple of their songs:

Nice. I remember their music from "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game".
Here's a good artist that I found not to long ago.

Valentine's Day 1994, 20 years ago today,
this was released as a single. 7 and a half minutes of pure perfection from Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler.

I'm a fan of the band Linkin Park and their
Valentine's Day song.

Indeedy; I "acquired" both Innerspeaker and Lonerism on a whim a little while back as I'd heard good things about Tame Impala. This was a standout song.

Here's a new song he gave out for free; what a nice man.
