17th: Manx-Anglo-Nippon - Douglas MANN: +2.69
18th: Hemogoblin Autowerks - T. HEMO GOBLIN: +2.90
19th: Group Lotus - Richie WHITE: +3.00

Race:
Lap 1:
A poor start from Shizuka saw get absolutely swamped, and was down in 9th after La Source. Rhys Davies and Pippa Mann both passed Kay Lon at Les Combes for 5th and 6th, and Dagnall passed Mori for second into the chicane.
Lap 2:
A few cars have lost front wings after a lot of banging at La Source, but no more than usual here. Watkinson passes Spencer, De Bock and Kekkonen in quick succession, while Pippa Mann misjudges her braking at Les Combes and goes straight ahead, dropping to 12th.
Lap 3:
Davies passes Jones for third, while Shizuka and Melrose both pass Koczo. Watkinson and Kekkonen pass Pippa Mann at the chicane.
Lap 4:
Koczo scrapes the wall at La Source and loses spots to Krautmeir, Simpson and Watkinson. Watkinson passes Simpson at Les Combes. De Bock passes Pippa Mann there too.
Lap 5:
Oh dear… I wouldn’t want to get between Pippa and Douglas tonight. After Douglas passes Nathanael Spencer on the pit straight, he tries an optimistic move on Pippa at La Source that only succeeds in putting both in the wall, with both retiring. Meanwhile, Watkinson puts in a brilliant lap to pass Krautmeir at Eau Rouge, Shizuka down the straight and Melrose at Les Combes, and passes Lon for 6th around the outside at the chicane. There is quite a gap to Jones and Davies though. Koczo runs wide at Pouhon and loses several spots, rejoining in 16th, ahead of Richie White.
Lap 6:
McAllister and Dagnall have been battling for the lead over the last few laps, and while Dagnall has been in front, he hasn’t yet led a lap.
Lap 8:
Jari Kekkonen passes Simpson for 11th at Les Combes, and passes Melrose as well on the way down to Blanchimont.
Lap 9:
Sammy Jones continues to have no luck at Spa, but this one was not his fault. The back end of Mori’s car stepped out at Eau Rouge, forcing him to slow. Davies and Jones, however, were following close behind, and while Davies just clipped him and spun into the grass, losing a few spots, Jones ran straight up the back of Mori, launching himself (slightly) into the air, and going straight into the wall. Davies rejoined the track in 7th, behind Melrose, while Mori managed to continue down in 9th, behind Kekkonen.
Lap 10:
Davies and Mori pass Melrose and Kekkonen respectively, while Shizuka passes Lon for 4th.
Lap 12:
Another retirement, this time it’s the home driver, Thomas De Bock, and this one isn’t his fault either. At the chicane, Lon tries to pass Shizuka around the outside, but Shizuka holds his line they touch, causing both to spin. A few drivers manage to miss them, although Kekkonen hits Lon pretty hard, wisely (and actually pretty skilfully considering where he was) pitting. De Bock, as he comes around the corner, oversteers when he hits the curb, straight into Lon’s car, still in the middle of the track. While Lon was fine to keep going, De Bock couldn’t, but managed to coast into the pits, unfortunately having to retire. Shizuka and Lon found themselves in 10th and 11th, thanks to some drivers being well behind them, while Kekkonen emerged from the pits 14th, ahead of White.
Lap 13:
The pit lane becomes really busy, as Dagnall, Watkinson, Davies, Melrose, Simpson, Shizuka, Lon, Koczo and White all pit at once. That’s 9 out of 15 still running cars. That leaves McAllister still leading, Mori second, Krautmeir 3rd, Spencer 4th and Hemo Goblin well behind in 5th and Kekkonen right behind in 6th.
Lap 14:
Krautmeir and Hemo Goblin pit, while Spencer brakes too late and goes straight into the wall at La Source and into retirement.
Lap 16:
McAllister pits, leaving Barii Mori in the lead of the race, and the only driver yet to stop. It seems that after the pit stops, it’s still McAllister leading from Dagnall, with Watkinson third, and Davies fourth.
Lap 17:
Hemo Goblin, effectively 11th on corrected order, passes Melrose, Krautmeir and Simpson.
Lap 18:
Melrose copies Spencer and ends his race in the wall at La Source, but will be classified. Hemo Goblin puts in a brilliant lap, the new fastest, to get to 6th.
Lap 19:
Mori pits, finally, and emerges in 5th place. McAllister reassumes the lead.
Lap 20:
Shizuka is all over the back of Hemo Goblin, who is under the wing of Mori, who is right behind Davies, who is trying to find a way past Watkinson. Dagnall is only a few seconds ahead, with McAllister about 2 more in front.
Lap 21:
And McAllister takes his first F1RWRS victory, beating Dagnall to the line by two and a bit seconds.

Jeroen Krautmeir wrote:To be brutally honest, the car was awful. I enjoy having some excess oversteer to play with, but despite playing with the setup time and time again, I constantly got understeer which annoyed me greatly. On the straights, there was speed, but seemingly not enough. I'm not saying all this because I'm leaving after this year, I'm just telling my side of the story, and I think Daniel and I should hold our heads high after somehow getting the cars in 10th and 11th. I'm still aiming for a podium finish, and hopefully we'll get some extra speed tomorrow.

I felt the car had a little too much understeer during pre-qualifying but the changes we made ruined the balance completely and made the understeer worse no matter what we did with setup. The car felt like an oil tanker through high speed corners like Pouhon and Eau Rouge and was about as fast as one in a straight line aswell.

I'm sure if we keep up more victories and great results will come both for me and Barii. We have official Honda engines, money and great techincal personnel and facilities, we can do it again!

More news of the new team for the 2013 F1RWRS season has finally arrived. At a press conference after the race at Spa-Francorchamps, Jeroen and Wilhelm Krautmeir revealed their plans for the future.

Wilhelm Krautmeir wrote:"The team will be named Precision Motorsports, and will be based out of Oschersleben, Germany. In addition, Jorg Zander has joined as chief designer, while Willy Rampf will join as technical director. The chassis will be designed by a group of engineers led by the aforementioned men at Lola Cars headquarters in Huntingdon. Lola engineers will be working closely with employees of Precision, and will be allowed to voice their opinion on matters regarding chassis design among other things. Precision will utilize Lola facilities, including their windtunnel, and Lola will build the chassis that will be used for 2013. On the financial side, the team has secured backing from Karl Albrecht and his ALDI brand, worth around 30 Million Euros. Additional funding will come from E.ON and Bayer, who altogether have pledged 20 Million Euros. We are also delighted to announce a works engine deal with Porsche, and Porsche employees will also be working closely with both Precision and Lola engineers. Porsche will also design parts such as the transmission and the gearbox, and will be contributing an additional 15 Million Euros to the project. This leaves us with a budget of 65 Million Euros for the upcoming season. Jeroen will be lead driver, while the second seat will be announced further on, as we are still scouting for prospective candidates. We are confident that our group of hard working and talented professionals will eventually bring success, and we're confident of a good debut season.

*People interested in the second Precision seat may say so now. No team orders, and a good (hopefully) car.

Although I´m quite sattisfied with the result, the team is quite shocked because of the accident Sammy suffered. I have seen it once the race finished and is terrifying, but we´re all glad that it was only material damage. The race itself was quite entertaining and, after a tough start to the season it seems we´ve found our way.

Yep, it's a points finish, which both of the Manns (Menn?) were hoping for, and for which they're blaming each other.

I had a lot of fun out there as I went for broke with the set up which allowed me to make up a lot of places when I was in the tow of other people, but the tricky part was keeping it on the track the rest of the time! The boss was only a few places behind me, so all in all it felt like a victory for the team. I hope this is an upward trend and not a one off performance.

Jung buys larger stake in Trueba At the conclusion of today's Belgian GP, news arrived from Trueba Racing Team stating that Tristan Jung had bought a much larger stake in the team than previously. After his sponsorship deal, Jung preceded to purchase a small 5% stake in the team, but today he increased his share to 20% of the team. "Its obviously a plus for the team," said a team representative. "Really, it just means more financial support for us!" Driver Giovanni Roda has declined to comment on the story, even as rumors circle around about his future at the team. Jung also declined to comment as he was apparently at the gym training when the story broke.

The result was a disappointment, especially as my team mate won, and all congratulations to him. However 5th place for all the effort I put in seems poor, the car did seem to loose traction as the race went on and was disappointed that I did not even get fastest lap. Hopefully the next race WILL be better.

Sammy Jones wrote:At the end of the day, if some rookie is going to accuse both myself and Davies for 'forgetting where the brake pedal is' then it sums up the attitude of modern drivers today. They can go around firing off accusations at the more experienced, older drivers but at the end of the day, youth is no match for experience, my time in F1 taught me that. My life was put in great danger by that incident, and to be honest, when I can't even get an apology from the other driver, it makes me question why I even do this anymore.

My future? Despite recent rumors, I firmly believe that I will continue to drive for Trueba.

You were promised by Mr Bahar? Since Group Lotus joined this series, how many press releases has he released about how the team are progressing? Has he got you a teammate yet? What are his plans for next year? Methinks he wants the publicity without the effort...

Autosport wrote:Reports are in that Barii Mori and Aguri Suzuki were heard exchanging loud and colourful words with each other, as they were arguing in Japanese no one is quite sure what was being said. However we did notice that Phoenix McAllisters car sported some aero upgrades on the front wing, on the airbox and had a different difusser as well, which we are led to believe gave a bit more grip round the tricky Zandvoort track, even then he was still off the leading pace. With another DNQ to his name, Barii Mori will not be happy and may move in the next few races with Prospec and Kahama Motor Sport the most likely targets. Both Aguri Suzuki and Barii Mori declined to be interviewed or give quotes.

The Sammy Jones and Barii Mori spat looks like blowing up as a source close to Barii Mori is quoted as saying "Barii Mori laughed at Sammy Jones assumption that youth is no match for experience and said 'The senile old fool may have more experience but he still scored less points then I have since I have been in F1, I even managed 3 fastest laps in 8 races and a pole, what did he get? A handful of points. Maybe next time when I have a moment that is out of my control I should wave a white flag or even give him written notice that I might run over something and have a moment, so please do not follow so closely, maybe just wave him past at the the first corner and trundle around the back of the track.... We were all in danger but I had two cars that hit me and I could have suffered too.'"

Bad news everyone:
My father has decided that using a laptop and Playstation at the same time is not very good, so the laptop now lives on the other side of the house. This means that, while the races can continue, full reviews cannot, since I really can't be bothered handwriting anything more than the results. So, sorry.

Anyway:

Race:

It was a fairly uneventful race anyway, with just a little bit of passing up the front, Dagnall holding a solid lead for most of the race. Spencer went out on lap 12 when he went straight ahead at turn 1. The pit stops started around lap 27, and afterwards, the order was somewhat shaken up. Dagnall lost out big time, dropping to 10th, but put in a few blistering laps to get back to 4th, but he was just not quite able to pass Melrose, who was also fairly quick. James Davies fought his way into second early on, and then jumped Dagnall in the stops, keeping ahead of Rhys Davies for the rest of the race to take his first F1RWRS win.

Finally I can confirm that several drivers have been in contact with our team over the vacant slot next season and they will be present at the MRT test in a few weeks' time.
