early in the overall season, yes, but the roadcourse schedule is half over. 6(counting doubles) rounds done, 6 rounds left. a Halfway point is a good spot to gauge the season's leaders and make predictions.

Well, after watching what happenened in last lap of race 1 and the highlights of race 2, my ROTRs:

Race 1 ROTR: RHR. Indy hero to Detroit race 1 zero. Last row, strategy gamble gone wrong and an amateurish spin in the last lap.

Race 2 ROTR: Ryan Briscoe. Blatant attempt to 3 wide in the braking zone costed to much for Sato and Hawksworth.

Also, if I'm not wrong, this is the first time since 2006 that two Penske drivers are fighting for the championship.
Waiting for Lotus hiring Johnny Cecotto jr.

If it has to be only one of them, hopefully Will Power. Because let's be fair - Helio really does deserve a title. Though I'm still holding out hope that Simon Pagenaud can make back the ground he's lost the last 3 races.

I think that's fair to say. I like Helio, but I would rather see Power win it, personally.

Great race last night- in spite of the penalty, Power near won the race. Brilliant call by Cindric on the pit wall.

Indy is too girly. Can't race in rain :x . They waited to start the race with the track almost dry. Bullshitee. :x

Also, who is the idiot who made the schedule of races? First race coincides with a World Cup match. C'mon.

Its funny, because Sato did the same thing eight years ago, with Heidfeld.

A drive through penalty isn't enough. Marco should be disqualified from the race.

And a well-deserved one at that. He'd been shown blue flags for like a dozen laps at that point, there was just no excuse. Once again, Marco proves that he doesn't have the mentality to really hack it at the championship level - he gets frustrated about an ill-handling car and a puncture putting him all but a lap down, and earns himself a black flag instead of taking his losses on the chin.

Utterly disgraceful behaviour, and I agree that he should've been disqualified entirely. It was obvious what he was doing, trying to hand the lead to his teammate.

When I noticed he was leading I was badly hoping for a 2nd IndyCar career win, but no.
Since losing the lead to Hinchtown at the last corner of that race last year and his spin in the subsequent 500, Sato's fortunes have plunged to absolute zero (-273°C).

Now one of my favourite drivers Filippi has retired. IndyCar can be infinitely cruel for ex-F1/GP2 drivers.

Damnit, I'm a Charlie Kimball fan. Defo Dixon's fault, just as it was Mikhail Aleshin's fault earlier. If I say Bourdais for the win, trust me, he won't be on the lead lap by the end (possibly even DNF)...

EDIT: AND CARLOS IS P1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better still, he have a caution! That seals a first (even if flukey) win for Huertas and a Colombian 1-2!

But hey, Huertas winning for Dale Coyne instead of JPM and Penske? I'll take that result! :D

What, you were anticipating a Saavedra win first? :P

Huertas stayed out when Hinch, Helio, Bourdais et al pitted, along with Wilson. And somehow he stretched it to the end. Amazing stuff.

While I watch the last 15 laps of race 2 in Houston:

what a plonker Castroneves is for blaming Bourdais - YOU PULLED OVER ON HIM!!!

Andretti is also a plonker for destroying Wilson's race.

While, touch wood, Kimball is having a good race, considering his qualifying position. Curse of death, right? 10 laps to go...

I only watched the last laps of second race. I really liked the battle for 4th place. Hawksworth did an amazing job holding Montoya and the others with a damaged front wing.

In the other side, what Indycar stewards are doing!?

http://www.indycar.com/News/2014/06/6-2 ... infraction

Ridiculous penalty! Marco deserved a lot more than this soft penalty. Also, he collided with Wilson in the second race and IMO, it was his fault for the crash.

Race 1 ROTR: Marco Andretti: No need to explain.

Race 2 ROTR: Helio Castroneves. No wonder he is the driver with most GP starts without a title in Indycar.

Are you joking? Helio's nonsense was nothing compared to the crap Marco pulled this weekend. Not only his antics in race one, but he collided with another driver in race 2.

For me though, Graham Rahal takes reject of the weekend - stalled in race 1, went wide on the first chicane on the restart leading to the final proper stint of racing, went full retard into the back of TK on the final restart, then in race 2 he retired early with a gearbox failure.
