Tenth place is the best the new teams can hope.

For what I see Lotus is completely focused on reliability. A good point, yes, but my flying thought was that if, say, Lotus finishes 23 out of 38 starts with a 12th as their best result and Virgin only 15 with a best result of 11th, it won't be all that worthwile.

Yes, very true - but with the first race of the season often being the worst in terms of reliability Lotus may have already done enough (2 saubers and a torro rosso conking out). Obviously a wet race would throw all that out...

Also, Lotus have said that they will be doing a serious update for Spain (I imagine we will see a much slimmed down car then)

- AND getting the 'testing miles' of completing races is a big deal for them.

I wish them the best of luck though (as they seem the most 'likeable' of the new teams)

As there will be question marks over the Toro Rosso, maybe if they can start making the car faster then 9th could be a reachable target?

Bahrain was great for them but one swallow doesnt make a spring. Lets see how optimistic they feel in a few races time.
