"Let’s Wait Before Judging Show, Says Alonso"

I don’t think they have any change on the show. Last year, first seven races, Jenson won six of seven. It was boring? Maybe yes, maybe not, this is F1. Michael win five championships consecutive. It was boring? Maybe yes, maybe not, this is F1.

That's hea-vy, man. Zen-like even.

" People that want an extra show, maybe they should reconsider if they want to watch F1.”

This bit is extraordinarily ironic and thus funny, (re)considering all those people who are (re)considering that very fact.

Oh well. Are his words. It was intelligent? Maybe yes, maybe not, this is F1.

The point is not about saying that a driver, a team, or both, did dominate, but about how did they dominate. A classic example: 1965. Jim Clark, with the discards system, scored every possible point, such was his dominance. But I doubt anyone will say that season was boring.

I thought the problem was a chronic lack of overtaking, not a belief that Alonso was going to walk away with the title. I still back Vettel to win the DWC this season anyway. Ive got to agree with his overall tone though, lets not jump to conclusions about the state of F1 until we get a better view of this season.

Is this post pointless? Maybe yes, maybe not, this is an F1 forum.

Easy to say, when you've won 100% of the races thanks to said rules.

I think that you've got a point - when Alonso knows that the F10 is so strong, he isn't going to want the rules to chance in a hurry.
It is true that I do agree that we can't instantly order changes - in the past, snap decisions have sometimes done more harm then good for the sport. Also, given that a fast car rarely qualifies out of position these days, all the fast cars will simply drive away from the front, where they started. However, this does mean that the races are likely to be more, not less, processional.
Meanwhile, Alonso's comments have not gone down well in some quarters. I've seen quite a few fans who have said (to paraphrase their comments) that Alonso seemed out of touch with their concerns, and that he was forgetting that the success of the sport depends on a happy fan base.
