This would be my suggestion with ratings

Drivers

1.Sebastian Vettel 9.5
2.Robert Kubica 9.0
3.Fernando Alonso 8.5
4.Lewis Hamilton 8.0
5.Felipe Massa 8.0
6.Jarno Trulli 7.5
7.Timo Glock 7.0
8.Mark Webber 7.0
9.Nick Heidfeld 6.5
10.Kimi Raikkonen 6.0
11.Nico Rosberg 6.0
12.Heikki Kovalianen 6.0
13.Rubens Barrichello 5.5
14.Kazuki Nakajima 5.5
15.Adrian Sutil 5.0
16.Sebastien Bourdais 5.0
17.Giancarlo Fisichella 5.0
18.Nelson Piquet 4.5
19.David Coulthard 4.0
20.Jenson Button 3.5

This is unbiased since Jenson Button is my favourite driver and DC was my second. Piquet just escapes the podium because of his sensational drive at Fuji. Button, Nakajima and DC failed to put in any performances that good.

Teams

1. Scuderia Toro Rosso 8.5
2. Ferrari 8.5
3. BMW Sauber 8.0
4. Mclaren 7.5
5. Renault 7.0
6. Toyota 7.0
7. Red Bull Racing 5.5
8. Williams 4.0
9. Force India 4.0
10. Honda 2.5

That's the first time 2 teammates have been on the ROTY Podium. I wouldn't have put Nakajima in 11th. At first he was alright but after Monaco he was quite frankly a disappointment.

I think the rankings were far too generous to Piquet and Coulthard. Piquet was completely useless in just about every race except France and Japan and was the only driver to be outqualified by his team-mate in every single race. Coulthard probably had more accidents than the rest of the field combined and collided with more than half the field. His only 2 points scoring drives (Canada and Singapore) were as a result of lucky safety cars, not good driving. While Button was slow, he didn't really make any obvious errors apart from Bahrain. My RotY podium would have been: 1) Coulthard 2) Piquet 3) Button
