Pacific PR03

Something I've been thinking about today, our favourite reject teams the ones that didn't fold mid season but soldiered on until the season was over then went belly up must of had plans for another car drawings etc? I wouldn't say the following 2 are rejects teams but Lotus had the 112 planned for 1995 and Prost had the AP05 for 2003. IIRC Pacific managed to get to the end before folding to any others to add to this?

Am I right in saying that Monteverdi Onyx (one of my favourite past teams because of their 1989 performances) had built a 1991 prototype to run under the Monteverdi name, before they closed down after Hungary.
Larrousse had drawings for a 1995 car before they shut up shop. Who knows what might have happened, they were so short of cash they may have had to run Deletraz all season, before finding out he would have defaulted! They also had plans to modify the LH94 for part of 1995, which, had they entered, would have probably have been even slower than the Forti FG01!

Indeed they did - from the Onyx profile on here:

Pacific decided to leave F1 close to mid-season and return to F3000, as they couldn't find the money. So the PR03 never even reached the paper fase.
I work for who was the Pacific Team manager...I'll ask him.

Didnt Pacific do a deal to run Yamaha engines in 1996?
Anyhow, I couldnt imagine that Yamaha (as a small company compared to others) could manage to run two teams with Tyrrell as well. Unless Tyrrell would have used another engine

Maybe they´d have provided Pacific 1995 spec engines...

With the Minardi, they did sign a deal to use Alfa Romeo engines. But Alfa backed out as they saw Minardi as a rival. One of Alfa's engine designers Carlo Chiti, formed his own company in Motori Moderni and his engines poweerd Minardi in their first two years.
But they were no good!!!

Yes, that's right but the biggest problem of those Motori Moderni's was that they used much more fuel then others and had less HP then others.
But Minardi wasn't that worse as they where. if they had just better engines they really would have got podiums, deffently with the 1999 season. But their engine was weak, even weaker then the tyrrell engine of 1998

Oh, just imagine if they have got those Mugen-Honda engines for 1995...Go home, Flavio Briatore...Whoops, he's already in home!

I'd heard of it but I'd never seen any photos. Great find!
That wind-tunnel model must be from relatively early in the season, because you can clearly see the underbody venturis. They were banned for 1983 in a very late announcement from the FIA in 1982.
