The teams first driver is Michael Robertson, a fairly unknown 17 year old driver who's best achievement in motor-racing is a second placed finish on his first Australian Formula 3 weekend at the Morgan Park circuit.

Dave Andreson hunts for Simpson Motorsports seat

American open-wheel racer Dave Anderson has reported that is trying to sign with Simpson Motorsports as their second driver.
"I expect a promise from this [new feeder series]", said Anderson. More nformation is currently unavailable.

Former F1 World Champion and F1RWRS driver Daniel Melrose took an interim version of the planned Lola 2/14 with a detuned BMW P86/12 engine for a shakedown run around the Imola circuit today. The Australian completed 13 laps and set a fastest lap of 1:31.199.

"On cold tyres the car is very difficult to drive as it was understeering very badly, especially at low speed, but as the temperature built up I got more confidence in the car. However the car also had oversteer through the Villeneuve chicane and didn't behave too well over the kerbs. There is definitely room for improvement and the guys at Lola will be working hard to make the car a good proposition for both the drivers and the fans." Said Melrose to Autosport when asked about the car.

When asked about the engine/gearbox combination Melrose said "The engine is still very good despite it being detuned and having the limiter lowered to 16 000 RPM but the gear ratios are too long for the higher gears and the engine is lagging badly as a result but that can be fixed with some fiddling with the gearbox."

There are expected to be more private tests with Melrose in the car before the first full grid tests take place in a few months time.

For the record it's the 2014 season, not 2011 (To keep it in line with the F1RWRS)

Tropico To Send Driver?

The known involvement of Tropico in F1RWRS might even involve a rookie driver, Alberto Cara. Rumors have it that the young Tropican rookie, ironically enough, is supposed to take the number 5 car at Licor Beirão Portugal Racing. Cara, who has been taken under the wing of none other than Kay Lon is supposed to hone his skills in F2RWRS, before stepping up to the big leauges. So far, no comment has been made by the team about the situation.

Another student of Kay Lon?

According to rumours, self-proclaimed "best driver in the F1RWRS" Kay Lon has another student which he is willing to push into F2RWRS. The 17 years old Chinese driver Du Lei, who has been seen in four Italian Formula 3 races in the last season, with a 15th place in Mugello and a fastest lap in Monza being her best results. With only one spot left, the #10 car of Trueba Junior Team, it remains to be seen whether Lon can aid her career or not.

Asked whether Lei lacks the talent to make it big, Kay Lon merely responded by saying that she has "lots of talent", especially when "handling the gearshift". A confirmation of Trueba Junior Team on their number two driver is expected soon.

Kay Lon seems to be in yet more trouble, as well as being sued by his former employers, which the court case has been delayed so both sides can present their evidence. He has been accused by the 19 year old taiwanese karting driver, Gan Wan Moore that he took her to his hotel bedroom and offered to get her a drive in single seat series only if she played with his joystick and straped herself in, she said "He had his hands in his pockets and was moving them, as he said it, I ran out of the room and told my manager. The Taiwanese police have issued an arrest warant for Kay Lon and he will be arrested if he ever goes back to Taiwan. Kay Lon was unavailable to comment.
