rFactor 2001 Prost GP (VOECKLER CHAMPION)

Posted: 10 Nov 2012, 23:24
by Gerudo Dragon
Welcome to the 2001 Prost Grand Prix Series, a one-make series consisting entirely of Prost AP03s, one of the worst (and yet best looking) F1 cars of the 21st century.

  • Each new team starts with a budget of 200$.
  • Teams can enter 1-2 cars.
  • Drivers can be fictional only.
  • The entry list will be capped at 32 cars.
  • Points system is 12, 10, 8, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
  • 10$ prize money are given for any driver who finishes with 1$ awarded for each point scored.
  • Unlike my horrendous failure known as the Customer F1 series, this one has been thoroughly tested and I know what I'm doing. :)
My rather crap attempt to make a livery template for the main body of the car
My equally crap template for the wing sections of the car

Driver upgrades
Each new driver has 75 points that you divide into Speed, Composure and Agression.
For example 25 points on Speed, 25 points on Composure and 25 points on Agression.
After this you can spend $1 on 1 point to improve any of them.

Car upgrades
The first price is for two-car teams, the second for one-car teams.
Reduce 1 kg of mass = $4/2.
Add 1 second to average engine life = $2/1.

Brilliant!

Team name: FSK Racing (FSK is short for Finanz-Sichereit Konglomerat, the company behind LGPS)
Driver 1 name: Nathan Nurmester (GBR)
Speed: 30
Composure: 5
Aggression: 40

Driver 2 name: Dietrich Anger (SUI) (yes, that's the same guy that was the Chief Safety Officer in LGPS. And he is already in his late 40s by this stage.)
Speed: 10
Composure: 55
Aggression: 10

$100 for weight upgrades (-25kg) and $100 for engine reliability (+50 seconds), TYVM. I'll do my livery tomorrow, when I grow tired of restoring the wiki. Might as well put my Swiss F1 Reject livery idea into good use...

How can one be composed and agressive at the same time? FDEV will reduce 12kg of mass with $48 and add 26 seconds to engine life with $52.

Ever seen the final fights of Equilibrium? Or any fighting scene involving Keanu Reeves on the winning side for that matter? I won't enter a team myself, but I'll offer seasoned veteran Leonhard Von Gottorp to any team willing to have him.

Driver 1/2 name: Leonhard Von Gottorp (GER)
Speed: 28
Composure: 33
Aggresion: 9

I WILL enter a team. But I'm going to bed in a minute so will edit this post in the morning :) two-car team btw.

Edit:

Team name: MW Motorsport

Driver 2 name: Carl Jordan - ENG
Speed: 45
Composure: 35

Reduce engine mass: $80
Engine life: $40

I think that's right.

For some bizarre reason, rFactor doesn't seem to like the name "Falcon"

Whenever I added one of your cars, the game crashed whilst loading, so I renamed it "Crash Motorsport" and now it works :?

BTW DSR Racing is a Bulgarian, not Russian team! So N. Nikolov and N. Djurov are Bulgarians.
