Taking a chance here to see if there is any hockey interest amongst fellow rejects?

Is anyone following the Stanley Cup Final? Blackhawks fans or Bruins fans?
What team do you think will hoist the Cup? I'm hoping for a game seven, at least.

Maybe I should have searched for an existing thread first.
Merge if need be:

Well, in my opinion hockey is important enough to have it's own thread. Perhaps make this to include all championships, WCs and Olympics as well, not just NHL.

Absolutely.
Even the Danish Hockey League is welcome here. :)

This has been such a fun season to watch, so much happening in so little time. It has culminated in what is a classic Stanley Cup Final. Next year is already looking good with the coaching changes in prominent teams, mainly Colorado, Vancouver and the Rangers.

I would like the thread named changed to dedicate Yutaka Fukufuji, who played in net for the Kings in a unusual circumstance that forced the LA squad to scrape the bottom of the barbell and find this goalie in the ECHL.

Yes, then he returns to Japan in quick order afterwards and now plays for a team in Tokyo.

The ice hockey part of the olympics is OK here. As for any other olympic sports, we already have a topic dedicated for them (can be easily converted to winter olympics).

Chicago won the cup, after scoring 2 unanswered goals to win Game 6, 3-2. Epic series.

Next up, Draft and Free Agency!

This is the first year in over 2 decades that I didn't watch the raising of the Cup. Year-in-year-out, regardless of who was in it (And having been a Buffalo fan, it was only us once NO GOAL! NO GOAL! uh, sorry, old wounds and all that :P) but this year, after ANOTHER lockout, I had it. I think I watched ten games all year, only about 4-5 all the way through, and all during the playoffs. When I got the alert on my phone saying Chicago won, I went "oh yeah, that was tonight wasn't it?" I was then it hit me, that hockey was dead to me. And it was sad.

And we already have Patrick Roy flipping out in his first game. And a ten thousand dollar fine for his troubles. Even if my Avalanche bomb this year, this is going to be a fun season. :D

Best yet, a poor performance means more antics and more future talent in draft picks although the draft's a crapshoot.

I'm sad. For it looks like it would take a miracle for the Devils to make the playoffs at this point.
And it was looking so good a couple months ago...

Vancouver haven't had it good this season either. We've won our division 5 seasons in a row, won a couple of President's Trophies too. At least I don't have to deal with the crushing disappointment of the playoffs.

The drama surrounding the collapse of the Canucks has been awesome to watch. The fall from grace since the riot would make a great read, as would the rise of Patrick Roy and the Avalanche. :D
