F1RSTC 2016-2017--Round of Durham Tees (Page 5)

F1 Rejects Super Touring Cup 2016-2017

The F1 Rejects Super Touring Cup was founded by Vincent Lilley and another man, whose idendity remains unknown, last year. They set off for your usual nine-race series across the world, but this was not any other normal racing series. Instead, classic touring cars from the 80's and 90's were restored, refurbished, and, most importantly, raced. After Martin McGovern won the championship in breathtaking fashion at Bathurst earlier this year, the F1RSTC continues on into a second season. A season that is sure to live up to the excitement of the past season, and hopefully one that will go down in the history books as one of the best.

Ratings

Once again, this series is using xkoranate, that has three ratings parameters: Speed,Cornering and Reliability. The car you choose will provide 60% of the ratings, the remaining 40% of ratings will be provided by driver ratings. The rules and guidelines of driver ratings are as follows:

--Each driver is allowed to use 13 ratings points maximum on Speed and Cornering.(Not Reliability, that will be covered later)
--Speed and Cornering each have a max rating of 10.Anyone who sets these ratings higher than that will be asked to redo their ratings.
--Reliability will be mostly dependent on your car choice. Only a maximum of 2 reliability points can be added or subtracted to the car's value, and is exchangable with driver points.(eg.Chris has 8 Speed and 5 Corniering points, but Victor has 7 Speed,5 Cornering and one additional reliability point)

Teams & Drivers

Teams can once again be in the form of one car or two carm teams. And,just like last season, only one model of car is allowed per team. The models of cars will be listed below.

Drivers of any nationality and age are permitted,as long as they are above 15 years old. However, drivers competing in F1RWRS,F2RWRS and IFRC full-time are not allowed to enter.Part-time entrants in F2RWRS and IFRC are allowed though.

Teams are to sign up using the following template:

Code: Select all

Team Name:
Car:
Driver 1:
Age:
STATS:
Driver 2: (optional)
Age:
STATS:

Tracks & Calendar

As this series is using xkoranate, this series will, like the now defunct Big Car championship, allow users to submit their own tracks into the F1RSTC calendar. However, there are some rules pertaining to track submissions this year:

--Unless otherwise stated, only ONE track per user is allowed. Subsequent tracks will be ignored.
--Road courses are preferred to street circuits, though that doesn't mean street circuits are banned from being submitted.
--Fictional tracks that have been featured previously on the F1RSTC calendar can be resubmitted by anyone (e.g. Akrotiri Bay,Clyde River,Holy See),as long as the layout remains unchanged. Stats need not be sent in for these tracks, though if a layout change is present, the original creator of the track must resubmit the track with new stats.
--Any resubmission of a track as stated above will count as your track in the "one-track per user" rule.
--Only tracks from Europe,Asia & Oceania are allowed,as the calendar below states.
--Tracks must have Speed and Cornering figures, distance and lap record. (Explained below)
--Tracks must be submitted with the template below:

Track Image:(Images if possible, though an URL is also allowed.)
Track Name:
Location:
Length:
STATS
Speed: (Determines how much speed is a factor. E.g. A fast circuit like Monza has a high speed value,8.5 for example.Twisty tracks like Monaco has a low speed value, like 2.)
Cornering: (Determines handling needed. Twisty tracks like Marina Bay have high cornering figures, plain fast tracks like AVUS have low cornering figures)
Lap Record: (For reference,Norisring is around 54 sec,Brands Hatch is 1:30 and Spa is 2:30)

The provisional calendar has also been set, with some tracks and the remaining dates being announced. The tracks that have been confirmed is the season opener at the Spa SuperPrix, the F1RWRS support race in Buenos Aires, the season closer at Bathurst and, finally, the race at Durham Tees Airport,as Jutti777 won the Track Design Competition with the prize of that track being in a F1RSTC race. Also, the date fits perfectly,as it (almost) supports the RRC's race at Croft, just five miles down the road.Admittedly, there are some scheduling conflicts with major events,so please be wary and take note of any clashes in schedule as mentioned in the calendar below.

F1RSTC Calendar

Round 1--Spa-Francorchamps--Belgium--September 15-17//Clashes with F1,F2,F1RDS,SARS & Indy. Double duty with F2,F1RDS & SARS possible.

Round 10--???--Asia/Oceania--January 13-15//No Clashes
Round 11--???--Oceania--January 20-22//No Clashes
Round 12--Bathurst--Australia--February 3-5//No Clashes

Cars

The main reason why the F1RSTC stands out from the rest is the cars. The co-founder of the F1RSTC has had to restore and recreate each of these cars to their peak condition for racing in the F1RSTC. And some cars have their features and their flaws. The Alfas and Lancias have less than dependable reliability, while the BMW M3 can run for ever. However,it's speed is at the lower end of the range, compared to the Commodore, with its HOLDEN POWER to blast past others. However,it handles worse than an eight-year old gherkin, allowing the more nimble cars like the Lancias and the Alfas to gain an edge. This year sees two new addition to the car range:the Mazda 323,used by Mazda's rally team,is recreated, bringing reliability and handling into the F1RSTC. The second new car, though,is a tad bit more desirable. The Jaguar XJS makes its debut in the F1RSTC this year, having proved its worth in both Bathurst and Europe. It's speed certainly shows, with almost average handling and reliability.

Like last year, only two teams per car, primarily to conserve these machines and to make sure the field is evenly spread. Each car has it's own stats and figures, which,as mentioned before,is vital to both a team's and driver's success.Choose wisely,as you cannot change cars midway through a season.

Points System
This season will still see the top 10 getting points, using the 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 format. And,like last year, two points are awarded for pole in qualifying to further encourage good qualifying attempts.

Long opening post over,if there's any more info you need to know or that I forgot, let me now.

But for now,signups are OPEN!

Also, you ruined my attempt to place the Entry List as the second post on this thread. Damn, you're fast.

Plus One Racing Engineering will make their F1RSTCC debut, entering a pair of Jaguars.

About the Bathurst Race, would it not be better to hold on a month and support the RWRS when it visits Australia at the start of the year?

As for the Bathurst race,I wanted to keep the calendar to a minimum,as I want to get this series done with before next year's schoolwork leads me to introducing massive delays in the series. However,I wanted to start the season at the SuperPrix, thus I had nowhere else to place Bathurst except in February.

Also, pasta, you will have to sign up using the template given. You can put drivers down as TBA until you've found one or two,but do please follow the template. Sorry if I'm sounding like a nag.

Speaking of tracks on the calendar...

Extra Daily Newspaper wrote:Joint F1RSTC/RTCC event announced!

In a press conference earlier this morning,F1RSTC founder Vincent Lilley has made a shocking announcement that the F1 Rejects Super Touring Cup and the Rejects Touring Car Championship has announced a joint date at Gronigen after "A long discussion over a few Jagermeisters and Fosters...I mean orange juice and water.",according to Mr Lilley. The event, called the Touring Masters at Gronigen, will see both RTCC and F1RSTC drivers take to the same track over the weekend of November 25-27,2016. The track in question is the temporary track at Gronigen Airport,a track that has hosted the F1RSTC last year in an exciting race that hometown hero Pieter Kickert took home the victory. This will also mark a significant change in the RTCC calendar,as the Touring Masters will be the new season finale.

The RTCC are due to respond to the media soon.

Oh,and Pasta, the Gronigen inclusion means your one track submission is up. :P

I was about to say Vallenluga is allowed, but all fictional tracks submitted will come before that track is even considered to go on the calendar,so replacing it with another track is the right thing to do.

Also,I've got a gut feeling about the track you're going to replace it with.

7 + 8 = 15. You are only allowed 13 points, unless you specify -2 removed from reliability of the driver.

Also, any team that needs a driver, and would prefer one with touring car experience than a rookie, is free to hire Italian RTCC racer Natalia Valenti.

Age: 26
STATS: Speed: 8 Handling: 5
Driver 2: Peter Seliga (SLO, #100)

Gregg Racing will drive Alfa Romeos instead, seeing as all the Rover Vitesses are taken.

DID YOU EVEN READ THIS????? AT ALL?????

WaffleCat wrote:Tracks & Calendar

ONE TRACK PER USER!! AND YOU MUST USE THE TEMPLATE

Is reading through the thread to make sure you don't make these kinds of silly mistakes really that hard? I won't even get started on the damn track list...

You can't use the BMW M3, and you still haven't used the bloody track submission template.
