Mainly I thought this was a headline we needed on this forum.via Google translate wrote: Zoran Stefanovic is already out in the open: the Slav, in fact, last November had laced contacts with John Booth, the team director and the main financier of the Marussia with the intention of buying the team Banbury. It seems that the deal is going ahead with the Russian group that has the majority of the team, even though Nikolay Fomenko does not seem willing to inject new resources into the coffers of the team.
Zoran Stefanovic also have contact with an experienced pilot who would like to make his return to the Circus after two and a half years of separation. We are talking about Rubens Barrichello at age 41 would like to extend the number of its presence in F1, as already holds the record of 326 Grand Prix ahead of Michael Schumacher.

I seriously believe this. This
has to be early April Fools, surely?!
That's just mental. Where does his money even come from? That 'AMCO Corporation' that was purported to be the source of his wealth didn't even exist in the end. So why is he still trying to blag his way into the sport when he has no cash at all?

Don't forget, this is the same guy that wanted to enter F1 with a pair of MasterCard Lolas AFTER Melbourne 1997...

I really want this to happen. F1 sorely needs something genuinely daft to get upset about rather than the snore-fest that is F1-cars-are-too-quiet-for-some-people-gate.

Stefan was going to have Villeneuve and Nakajima as their drivers in 2010. I think Barrichello is still far better than either of them so the driver line-up would be a massive improvement... as long as they don't have Teixeira or González in the other seat (although it would result in some awesomely rejectful moments)!

Plamen Kralev and Vicky Piria could be an appropriately rejectful line-up...

My point on why I linked that is because I agree that Stefan is a fraud!

Remember, they announced a technology park and nothing can be heard of it, btw.

Actually, I think Vicky isn't that bad of a driver. She has shown some potential in her early stages. But the heavy crash in Hockenheim 2012 might have left a mark, though.
Anyway, I would love to see a driver line-up of Barrichello alongside Villeneuve. Don't ask me why. And Stefanovic could dig up either Sospiri or Rossett as a test driver, just to remind us all of the good old times.

Isn't Slav a derogatory term for Eastern European.
It certainly is in Australia.

... not really. Unless you consider calling someone Germanic or Baltic derogatory.

And certainly not all people of Eastern Europe are Slavic - as shown by the three Baltic states, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Albania - and, technically, Greece, whose westernmost point is further east than the entire Czech Republic.

Why Plamen when he can drag his fellow countryman, Milos Pavlovic into F1 to get the first ethnic Serb in a WC points race since Billy Vukovich in the 1950s Indy 500.

Barrichello and JOSÉ MARÍA LÓPEZ would make for an interesting driver lineup. Although I have no idea if the latter still has any sort of government backing.

And have the two perfect reject drivers in Ricardo Teixeira and Carmen Jordan in the lineup. With Sakon Yamamoto as the test driver.

Stefan Grand Prix is no joke. They will be on the grid in Melbourne. I guarantee it.
