Welcome to another season of alternate F1. I apologise for the infrequent running during the 1981 season, and hope to do better for 1982.
Please confirm your entries if you want to take part in this season. Teams that have not confirmed their participation by November 25 will be redistributed or shut down. To keep things fair for the new team owners, sponsor, driver and engine signing will only be opened on November 25. Building and/or upgrading your chassis can be done earlier, since it has no effect on other teams.
Rule changes and calendar will be announced shortly. If you have any good ideas for that, you can submit them here.

If you want to run a team, join the waiting list. While a BMW takeover of a team would make sense from a storyline point of view, if would be unfair to give you preferential treatment compared to those on the waiting list.

If we stick with the same chassis for this season are we allowed to build our new ones later in the season if we decide to do so. I'm thinking of seeing how we do with our 1981 chassis in order to save some money but I don't want to be stuck with it if we end up not making races.

Well, the Honda engines need to be cheaper, significantly more powerful, and the loss of money from running a Japanese driver over using random pay drivers should be very small.
I'll probably just stick with BRM, they understand our way of doing business, and we are more or less becoming a BRM works team.

The deadline for confirmation of entries has passed. The first four people on the waiting list have one week to claim their teams, if any of them don't reply by 6th December, 6 PM CET, the next person on the waiting list will receive an entry.

I'm currently trying to figure out a good way for engine manufacturers to earn money. My idea would be to give everyone apart from BRM (they're a joke engine anyway), around 2-3 million for 1982, since everyone is out of money, and introduce an achievements system to earn further cash, so they get a list of goals, and an amount of money they get for achieving these goals. I'd like some feedback from the people running engine manufacturers before introducing it.
