The end of the summer of now near, and to celebrate the summer, we will do it with a BANG!

2021 CUETARA'S CHOCO FLAKES ALONSO CUP 225 (12th September 2021)

Alonso Cup brings you on what would be the best Spanish alternative to the famous Indy 500.
The race will be run on NR2003 and will be set fictionally on revamped Sitges Oval track using the base of Trenton Speedway.

A deal had been made by Indycar/ Dallara to use DW12s.

Teams can enter up to 4 drivers and there will be no limit on drivers entering. However, as the track can only take up to 33 drivers, there will be a first qualifying round. As I obviously cannot run all the entered drivers on NR2003, the first quali round will be run on RNG instead. Any drivers that finish under a certain low position will be subjected to a bump day session (run on NR2003) where it would decide which drivers would qualify and which ones would not. There would then be a 2nd qualifying session then the race.

Considering it's set in Catalonia, there will be no bull runs for this event, VIOLA!

Please note that anyone who entered their teams in the Alonso Cup can start over from scratch if they wish to, as long as drivers continue to meet the criteria. Here is the signup form for any newcomers or those that don't know:

A little sore after their near championship at the 2021 Alonso Summer Cup Formula, Nico Rosberg and Maestros de Automoviles en Alemania are back, and this time to tackle the Indy 225! Rosberg and the team are hoping that they can get a win here to end the season on a high. Fellow Spanish-speaking German Heinz-Harald Frentzen has been invited by the team to drive their third car. Fingers crossed that the 54-year-old can qualify!
