Gotta be Norris and Ricciardo, doesn't it?

Daniel Ricciardo - Pulled that one out of nowhere.
Lando Norris - Because the man continues to put drive after drive and being sensational. Makes the most out of all day. I can't wait to see him in a championship fight.
Nico Hulkenberg - Well, he tried.

1) Lando Norris - 17th to 5th, with 14th to 5th in half the race, brilliant
2) Daniel Ricciardo - for not falling way back and almost stealing 6th from Russell

1) Daniel Ricciardo: Made up a good haul of points for once, with a result that came out of left field. Tsunoda's no longer the only AlphaTauri driver this season to get points.
2) Lando Norris: I expected a decent recovery drive, but fifth is still a result after all of that.

1) Daniel Ricciardo - naturally, given his awful luck and his reputation being through the floor.
2) Lando Norris: What a drive!

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
In a season where not much infinitely improbable has taken place, it has to be Ricciardo here. Don’t think many would’ve foreseen him sticking an Alpha Tauri on the second row, finishing 7th, and crawling all over the back of a Merc by race’s end.
Feels unfair to give Norris a shout, we’ve long since known that the McLaren is a rocketship in certain circumstances and that Norris is a very accomplished driver - him racing well and overtaking seemingly everyone bar the Red Bulls, the Ferraris, and Hamilton is very obviously impressive, but not infinitely improbable for me.

Danny Ric gets it for me as he was plum last a week ago. I never expected him to do that today. (And put down a marker with Checo going out too).

1- Daniel Ricciardo. I expected him to tumble down the order but no he held his own (probably helped by how rubbish the track is).and finally got some points
2- Lando Norris. Still got 5th even though he was stuffed over so many times (that timing of that Red flag....)

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
Ricciardo is the only choice. I was skeptical when he came back at Hungary and then felt there was no reason for him to come back after Lawson’s performances. He’s proved me wrong this weekend and ramped up the speculation about the 2nd Red Bull seat even further.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
I had little hopes of Ricciardo when he was announced to take over De Vries. He showed me up. Great drive today and nearly got P6 ahead of George. Huge boost for his chances for that Red Bull seat.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
Norris and Ricciardo. One from the back of the grid, the other from almost the back of his career.
Norris' drive was brilliant and really showed how far ahead he is of the excellent Piastri. Put him in a Red bull and lets see how dominant Max is.
Ricciardo just because he is a top bloke doing what he loves well and achieving an unexpected and improbable result after a rough season.

Danny Ric. Looks he's finally rediscovered his mojo.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
Daniel Ricciardo: Amazing performance all weekend! The team's best result all year and now they're eighth in the WCC! Speaking of the team, I would have nominated them if Tsunoda hadn't screwed up his race.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Mexico 2023
1. Daniel Ricciardo - the best race from any AlphaTauri driver this year
Not giving 2nd place vote this time. Norris climbing up was pretty much expected after the qualifying went like that.

The poll is open at the top of the thread. Two candidates tower above anything else, and you have 48 hours to vote for either of them
