Re: Is this wrong?
I think we should feel no pressure to necessarily support a driver or a team from our country. Support should be something we actually feel and we shouldn't think we have the duty to support someone due to a shared nationality.

Re: Unpopular F1 opinions
I think that we have to recognise that a lot of the Pippa Mann, Sophia Florsch output to social media, and in response to media questioning is really just a part of the kind of self promotion they need to keep themselves racing. Or its a response to the kind of media questioning that seeks to 'diff...

Given I became a lifelong fan of her since she did Ginetta Juniors in 2015, if I see any more anti Sophia Floersch posts on here the banhammer's coming out. I'm not "anti Sophia Florsch". I just don't like some ways she behave sometimes. Also, I read the rules of the forum and I don't rec...

To be fair 2010 vs 2012 weren't just Vettel vs Webber.

Thanks. I don't know. Once some American girls on Tumblr bashed me for a picture in which I was wearing a dress which showed my knees.
In my home country i wore it during a church cerimony ans it wasn't considered inappropriate.

Re: Unpopular F1 opinions
Not F1 but still open wheel: I don't get why Sophia Florsch should be considered a better exemple for girls than other female racing drivers. Ok she doesn't need to race with other girls to have a seat as some are doing (anyway I don't think that for a girl it has to be a shame the gender of others ...

Re: Did Flavio Briatore almost get killed in London ?
I read some italian posts about a bomb attack near Briatore's home in the 90s. Not sure about being a failed killing attempt though. I did some research about Bonanno, the racing driver, and it turned out that his father was linked to mafia. The father was mentioned as linked with another mafia fami...

Re: F1 Drivers Nickname
The whole Italian press and basically the whole italian F1 watchers use the nickname "il predestinato" (the predestined) for Charles Leclerc.
It basically started because the guy from the F1 commentary acts like a huge fanboy of him calling him that way around 20 times during a race day.

Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill (Suzuka/93, Adelaide/94, Silverstone/95 and Monza/95 ----> Schumacher and Hill also had a crash togeher at imola in 1994 soon after the restart, which dropped Hill to last position, which makes five.

I think that Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon crashed at least three times between each others while team mates at Force India (also, they just needed a couple of months to do so).

Well, McLaren won four years in a row in late 80s/early 90s anyway...
And Williams won four drivers championship and five constructors out of six during the 90s, not consecutive, but impressive too.

I know I'm late, but... as a *F1 fan* I couldn't care less about the presence or the absence of grid people. The only thing I can say, could be, why just grid girls, not a mix of grid girls or grid boys? Or why always dressing them with the Western style, even while in non-Western countries, instead...

Raghunathan has scored a point in F2! We truly are living in the End Times. I think that Raghunathan scoring points was one of the most wtf moments of recent years F2 history. Also, I felt a little sad for Calderon. They're both bad, but at least she's doesn't look as slow as Raghunathan is. I thin...

I remember when I watched European GP 1999 thinking "this is the best race I've ever seen". I saw other 20 years of racing from date to now. I also saw more than half of 80s and 90s races. I still think European GP 1999 is the best race I've ever seen (I'm quite gutted for Badoer though) a...

Re: What things do you miss from older F1 races?
Something that I've realised recently that's missing from older Formula One races is the diversity of winning teams. There hasn't been a team outside of Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari who's won a race since 2013. Meanwhile, in the 1970s or 1980s (the most obvious exception being 1988), you'd frequen...

Two creepy coincidences about fatal crashes: 1) 17.07, death day of Jules Bianchi written in European format, is also the hour in 24h format of Anthoine Hubert F2 fatal crash (the accident happened at 5.07 pm according to the Fia statement). 2) F1/soccer coincidence, since the 80s, everytime that fa...

From the old races i miss the 100% reject team and their fight for not finishing last, something we miss since the days Marussia and Caterham were both still there.

Hello, I used to have an account on this forum many years ago, I was called Sunshine something.
I'm 31, I write from Italy, I watch a lot of motorsport (F1, Indycar, Formula E, sometimes junior series) and my favourite reject teams are Super Aguri and Marussia.
