Canadian GP review - now up!

Post by eytl »

Hi everyone,

Sorry, the Canadian GP review is almost written, but my whole family is sick at the moment - including myself. Coughs and sneezes spread diseases ... especially when you have two toddlers in the house. On top of that work is uber stressful - I should be making use of my sick leave but I can't afford to, and that just about says it all. Anyway, hope to have the review up in the next day or so, but thanks everyone for understanding.

Cheers,
Enoch

What he said. I'll make a mental note to send some popcorn over soon.

Get well soon!

I'm looking forward to see if Lewis has become the first ever driver to get 2 RotRs in a row!

Ralf Schumacher beat him to that.

Ralf Schumacher beat him to that.

If you count 2007 Canada; that was more the whole field than just Schumacher. Indeed, it would be a spectacle if Hamilton can lock up double ROTRs...

Hi everyone,

The Canadian GP review is now up! http://www.f1rejects.com/centrale/2011/canada/index.html

In a new convention, I will leave this thread open and you can post comments on the review here, as well as in the separate thread in the HWNSNBM forum. When it comes time for the European GP review, I will put up a new announcement in the Paul Stoddart forum and merge this thread with the one in the HWNSNBM forum.

Cheers,
Enoch

I haven't read it all yet, but I did scroll down to see ROTR, and I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with your choice.

2011 Canadian GP review

Post by eytl »

Hi everyone,

The Canadian GP review is finally up: http://www.f1rejects.com/centrale/2011/canada/index.html

Did Jenson win because of his six stops rather than in spite of it? Could Paul di Resta have been on the podium? Have Lotus shot themselves in the foot? What footwear was the marshal wearing? These questions and much, much more topics of earth-shattering importance discussed, to get you in the mood for Valencia.

Cheers,
Enoch

P.S. In a new convention, I will also leave the announcement thread in the Paul Stoddart forum open for comments, but after the European GP goes up I will merge that thread with this one.

...just about to download, but wondering if I made TMBPOQ "The Most Buzzed Person Of Qualifying" being that I had about 6 - 8 of the Bud Lights they were serving on tap at the CDN GP during Sat. (...only had about 5 on Sun)...

No rotr for Hamilton? Bullcarp says I.

But otherwise a great review as usual, well worth the wait.

BTW, thats Räikkönen with two K's and two N's. Not Raikonnen (Raikkonen is fine if you have no umlauts though)

Yeah, there was a thread about this a few months ago, and I was referring to two indidual RotRs, not shared awards.

I'll answer those questions.

1. Possibly a bit of both
2. Could well have been a podium for Di Resta, or at least 4th or 5th
3. Yes
4. Ice Skates

Another top-notch review.

Seconded!

I'd have to agree with that too - Hamilton's over eagerness to make up for lost ground in qualifying ruined his race (and Webber's to a certain extent), but badly organised marshalling could have cost somebody their life, or at least seen somebody being badly injured. And, as you say, they weren't exactly careful with the cars they recovered from the circuit either; at least in Valencia, they had somebody there to stabilise Maldonado's car as it was cleared.

Plus there was a second marshall who fell over at Canada when Vettel had a meeting with the wall of champions
