Wow, this thing is epic! I swear, if I ever make money to spend on things just for fun, I'll buy a better computer with rFactor on it, so I can make stuff like this.

My computer is working again (somehow the cable connecting the ports on the rear of the computer to the motherboard had disconnected themselves), so the series is underway again! I'll try to run the Rockingham round tomorrow.

Uh, and by the way - rumor has it that our series was about to be put on hold. I hope it's nothing serious and we will be able to race in Rockingham.

Round 6 - Rock in ham? No, Rockingham

There's no really nice way of putting it, this round was disappointing for the spectators. Yes, it is an oval which is not normally raced on in these conditions, but the crowd expected more rolls than you'd find in a bakery, but there were no rolls at all, not even from the Trabants.

Though you wouldn't think this odd shaped 'oval' (if you can even call it that) would be anything like the Superspeedways of Daytona and Talledega, it produced a similar two car draft tactic to what was seen at the NASCAR races at those circuits, just with much less power.

The Wartburgs looked strong for the first time ever, with a surprise pole position winner in Sameal Meerwick, making a determined effort to not recieve ROTY. This was down to an engine upgrade, but it wasn't all smooth sailing for Wartburg drivers as the rules say that for each upgrade there must be an equal and opposite downgrade, in this case the laughable stock suspension was put back on. Which meant the Wartburgs dropped down the order like a tonne of bricks hurled off Mount Everest.

As this was a power track the Skodas dominated, while the Fiats trundled around hopelessly at the back. This race saw the series' first female winner, Migle Drasavit, who worked with Niko Bellic as a drafting partner.

As per usual, the other stuff will be posted soon.

One last thing; I've finally managed to download the latest version of EastCars which features a new car, the Moskvich 2140, so if you are unhappy with your car, you can change to that.
This is a cool spot.

How did he end up in pole is beyond me, but aside from that, 14th place is an improvement for once!

After the disappointment of not starting the race last round, It's nice to see my driver win this one as an excellent bounceback! Can't wait to see the highlight video of this!

by the way, here's what happened after her first win, an interview with an American reporter

Reporter: Migle, what a close vicotry it was. What are your emotions right now?
Migle: Well, it was hard fought race that's for sure! I can't really describe in words right now!
Reporter: Considering that you are officially the first female driver to win in REECCS, how proud are you to accomplish that?
Migle: it's absoulty amazing, espically after I couldn't start the last race due to weird circumstances!
Reporter: At least you recieved at least 25 points for the win. Are you feeling more hopeful of your chances to win the championship?
Migle: It's still uphill from here, but at least the hill is a little less steeper than it was last race.
Reporter: Finally, any shoutouts?
Migle: I would like to thank my fans from Lithuania that went to every race so far, and any American fans that I managed to gain after this race!

There was also a Lithuanian reporter there as well, but I will not post that interview due to me being lazy to translate it into Lithuanian!

I'd like to nominate my driver Meerwick for the awards below:

The Paperweight Award (awarded to the driver who loses the most positions between qualifying and the race): -2 points
The Daniel Melrose Award: (Awarded to someone who performs well for the first half of the race only to simply disappear off a cliff after that point): 25 second penalty
The "Ambitious but Rubbish" award: (Someone who outdoes their machinery only for it to go horribly wrong): A week's supply of free popcorn provided by Wizzie.

I know it's all NEGATIVE awards, but at least the Paperweight one is proper: an unexpected pole, then a 14th place midfield finish!

Funny you should mention that, because Pippa Mann recently bought a Moskvich 2140 for Ben Fleet as a restoration project, and he now has somewhere to race it. Hurrah! 8-)

Race 7 - Good 'Ol Boys at Crazy Cooters 8
The good 'ol boys of the REECCS make their first American stop at Hazzard County, with the fearsome Crazy Cooters 8, a track sponsored by the local tow truck driver/mechanic Cooter Davenport, who must get a lot of business after a race weekend.

The grid order was quite a surprise to most, with newcomer Merak Keznorski taking pole position from the Fiats of Njord Munk and Peter Senerson. Keznorski's time in the lead didn't last though, being the first to be involved in a cross-over collision. The unluckiest driver in the series, Sameal Meerwick, was the first retiree, with his Wartburg setting alight for the second time this season. The Trabants rolled plenty of times, so much so that the highest placed Trabant driver, Kay Lon, finished 20 laps down. The carnage continued, with a hit between Frank Montana and Dave Simpson being the hardest collision, taking out both, and the most spectacular collision going to Zbynek Benes. The pits weren't safe either, with a blockage caused by a spun car. Maxim Simonov and Wouter Lamberights were two of the drivers involved.

All along there could only be one winner, the legend himself, HWNSNBM, who lapped the whole field, with Keznorski taking a superb second on debut and Zbynek Benes taking third.

1. Meerwick is indeed THE unluckiest driver! If there is still an opportunity to come up with awards, I have some:
- Unluckiest driver of the season award
- The Robert Kubica award - punching above the car's weights
- KazNak prize - finishing way below than expected

Also, you got me bursting out laughing at 01:22 when that wheel appeared.

#49 - Kristof Detmer (Poland)

He wants to change a spelling of his name to more pan-European because - as he put it - "everyone is butchering it both in spelling and pronounciation, including the officials".
And by the way - Detmer is in posession of a new Skoda and wants to race it from San Jose onwards. Also he decided to start his very own team.
