Difference is that in NASCAR everyone pretty much expects it so it doesn't upset people most of the time. Completely different racing culture, but at least the officials let the drivers actually race each other. It's when drivers (usually Joey Logano) do stupid shite like use the guy in front of them as the brakes (and any NASCAR fan here can tell you that he gets away with it) that it ruins the show a bit.
Personally I don't really like the whole "Have At It Boys" crap because it just encourages idiotic driving. Just let the drivers race and penalize them for being douchebags, I ask every race official (especially F1 officials) this, how hard is it to let the drivers race?!
