Behold the Wiki pages! For both the series and the 2014 season.

Team Managers who want to apply a different team name to their chassis... do it, before I think about starting pre-season testing!

Gotcha. Incidentally, nationalities of the teams are also up for review - so far, they match the chassis the teams are using. One flag per team, though.

Rename my team to "American Rejects" (because both epically failed in the USA), and it's Belgian (duh :) ).

Yes Wikipedia being useless as ever.

This shows that it is the same person, adding the fact she was a race car driver.

Although her best effort was racing three times at the Spa 24 Hours in a Toyota MR2 and Corolla...

For this championship, I think Isle of (Wo)Man Racing sounds apt.

American Rejects are surprisingly consistent. Lombardi has only ever been 10th or 11th, and Bumgarner has always come between 14th and 18th.

What happened to the Lola Bunnies!? They were easy top 8 in the first practice, now they only have legs on the Prostines!

Don't forget that the Lola T13/30 is an awful, awful chassis. It doesn't help that it is being driven in F1RMGP 2013 by two legendarily inept drivers who are unable to develop it in any way.

Don't forget also that the first time any of the drivers sat in the cars was at that first test session, so don't read too much into that one.

I'm glad to see how much Kimiläinen has improved during the testing. At the first one he was in the back end of the drivers, no she's beating her team-mate and on top half.

We take only small targets for the season: one podium and points position (either driver) from 2/3 of the races.

Those responsible for sacking the man who handles the time sheets have been sacked. Don't sack the messenger, says the messenger, who also reports that he has been sacked.

When reminded that he has a daughter who has very little to do and could single-handedly replace all those who have been sacked, Sir Bernard Shekelslike says he couldn't possibly give Princess Darciella the job because she might break a nail. Miami stayed strangely silent, and threw another dart at the picture of her old man that is centred on the treble 20. The PDC has refused to accept her into their ranks, because they're scared that Phil Taylor might lose his title.

Anyway, back to the real world, sort of... I'm in the middle of some computer problems, but I'm sorting them out. And so, we will soon have the first race!

Right, just to update you all, because I've just seen the "Grand Prix 2 Championship" die (or at least it looks that way) before it's even started...

Racing will commence on this championship at the end of the 2013 F1RMGP season. I am about to post round 11 of that championship, and the remaining rounds will return to the every-three-days schedule. I think it makes more sense that way.

That, and I've been out having a life away from the internet for the last week. Which is less likely to happen in October.

The Women's European Cup kicks off, and the trophies are named...

In a definite parallel (name-wise, at least) the drivers in this championship will be competing for the Maria Teresa de Filippis Cup. Call her a pioneer if you like - admittedly there have only been five women to compete in F1, but she was the first, and - most importantly for this series - the first to be a reject! That said, four of the five races in her brief career were competed in the almost illegally gorgeous Maserati 250F, which Juan Manuel Fangio had won six races and the 1957 World Championship in, whereas Maria... didn't.

In a (fairly obvious if you've been reading before) change to the original plan, the Bertha Benz Cup will be awarded to the winning team. A 121 mile drive from Mannheim to Pforzheim and back may not look much to us these days, but in 1888 it was revolutionary - even more so, given that Bertha Benz did it and in doing so became the first woman ever to drive a car, one of the first amateur mechanics - the techniques she used to keep Benz Patent Motorwagen #3 going would make Scrapheap Challenge contestants proud - and also, she was the first joyrider, given that the car was not hers to drive in the first place! And, in effect, this is what the Women's European Cup is all about - independent subsidiaries of the main series, and privateer teams, racing year-old F1RMGP cars that (technically) don't belong to them, and having to do the upgrades and servicing using hand-me-downs and ingenuity. The spirit of Bertha Benz certainly echoes down the ages into this series.

(By the way... some of the F1RMGP Silly Season News has to be revealed before racing can start here, but that will be in the very near future. The way this series works, there absolutely must be feedback from those who have offered to be Team Managers as the series progresses.)
