To be honest it's a toss-up between Hamilton and Kobayashi for me (sadly becuase I'm a fan of both).

Hamilton seems to have become just as much of a #2 driver as Webber and Massa are at the moment (plus he still has his magnetic attraction to Massa), and Kobayashi just seemed to go backwards from his great grid position, especially when his teammate went from 17th to 8th. Can't help thinking Kobayashi may have been showboating too much in qualifying. :(

My nominations:

Kamui Kobayashi - Enough Said
Bruno Senna - Wrote off the car on Saturday morning before being a complete non-event in the race
Toro Rosso - If they have any hope of moving further up in the standings they need to start doing something good. And fast
Lewis Hamilton - Finishing 5th isn't much to complain about. Shoving Schumacher off the road in qualifying whilst dawdling on an outlap when he really should have been getting a move on before hitting Massa in the race is. And to top it all off he was almost half a minute behind his teammate who has supposedly inferior ultimate pace.

But my ROTR is:

Williams F1: The signs were already bad by Friday evening with one car in the fence and the other parked on the side of the track before showing no pace as a continuation of their "annus horribilus"

Oh boy, are there people lining up for this or what?

Lewis Hamilton - Utterly outdriven by Button, there's no other way to put it. Even Massa seemed to have the measure of him for most of the race
Bruno Senna - Bruno, the car's good again (for now), you can stop failing around at the back of the midfield.
Kamui Kobayashi - It saddens me to say this, but dear God he was terrible. He made one pass on Alguersuari (who was rubbish himself) and that was about it.
Toro Rosso - Alguersuari as I said was rubbish, whilst Buemi looked half-decent but became the only retirement when the wheel came off. Coupled to the egg on their face after not going for a second run in Q2, and this was an awful weekend for them.
Vitantonio Liuzzi - I think Ricciardo was keeping up with the Virgins - I certainly recall him being about a second or so behind d'Ambrosio at one point, although that may have been down to a pitstop, but nonetheless, it was a terrible race for Tonio, going across the gravel and not even finishing on the same lap as his teammate.
IceG wrote:Brundle; for listing all the drivers available to Renault next year and forgetting Kubica - shame

I had actually forgotten about that. You're right, that was a rejectful mistake to make.

Ultimately, though, I'll go with Senna. Petrov completely outclassed him, even more than Button did to Hamilton, despite starting one position behind him on the dirty side of the grid. I'm also not mentioning Williams, because, in fairness, their race was not as abysmal as their practice pace suggested.

For once I haven't gone for DBTMOTR with Bruno, and where does he finish?

My other nomination is Toro Rosso, sparing one set fresh options for that? Ohh, wait, and they even spared more with Buemi's special race tactics, which also brought about the only retirement of the race.

1) Hamilton and Massa - Honestly, they just can't keep away from each other. Also add to that the fact that they were both completely show up by their teammates (again).
2) Torro Rosso - One driver lacking pace, and the other lacking a wheel...
3) Bruno Senna - Disappointing, shouldn't be fighting with the Williams while his teammate finished in the points

Bruno Senna - Because he was wasted by BOTH Lotus cars for most of the race, and to be so far off Petrov won't do him any favors with Grosjean and Kubica on the wings.
Kamui Kobayashi - This is now looking seriously grim. The second year hoodoo strikes again

Kamui Kobayashi - sadly, his bad start and the fact that he didn't get much better meant he was far off
Whoever didn't fasten Buemi's front right tyre tight enough - Self explanatory.
Bruno Senna - awfully slow today... deserves his own ROTR

Just got back from watching it recorded, so, here are my nominations:

Mark Webber: If you want to win a race you're gonna have to do better than that. Thrashed by Vettel again.
Kamui Kobayashi: Terrible start and terrible racing to be honest. Sure there was one pass but that was with Alguersuari who wasn't having the best of races either.
Lewis Hamilton: Look mate, if you want to be close to a Ferrari find a used one; you've got the money for one anyway.
Toro Rosso: Only retirement from the race. From a loose wheel nut. Again.
Bruno Senna: Fighting among the John Deeres while Petrov is in the points.
Tonio Liuzzi: Karthikeyan was slow but truth be told I've seen more mistakes from Liuzzi than Karthikeyan this year. So yeah, Narain, come up to the plate, please.

Kamui Kobayashi - the car had the pace, he didn't :(

Also, Bruno Senna deserves a mention, because your contact with Petrov at start cost him a good finish.

After watching the race, I have to go for Torro Rosso. Buemi's losing a wheel, and Alguersuari's dismal fifthteenth, should be the icing on the cake.

Quite a handful to choose from:

Mark Webber and Felipe Massa: I've never known two multiple race-winning drivers to be completely stuffed by their team-mates, every weekend, all year. Even Barrichello at Ferrari had his good days.

Kamui Kobayashi: Such a shame. Seems so long ago now he was the biggest talent of 2010.

Toro Rosso: Fail.

Williams: EPIC Fail.

But for me, Bruno Senna: For once, the fake Lotus looked like a decent car, yet spent the entire race fighting with Lotus and Williams. And your team-mate finished 9th.

This is a difficult one, isn't it?

I can't bring myself to nominate Kobayashi as I think his 7th place grid slot was way higher than he really should've been plus the midfield was very close all the way through. I didn't really expect Toro Rosso to set the world on fire either so I think giving it to them is a bit harsh. Senna wasn't great, but again not disastrous. I'm also surprising myself by actually getting bored with giving it to Lewis, even though he drove like a tool yet again.

So.......I'm going to give it to Virgin - the 2 drivers fastest laps of the race were over 2 seconds slower than the Lotus drivers, and slower than Ricciardo's best lap. They were also 2 laps down at the end despite the safety car closing the field up. What on earth was going on there?!

Bruno Senna. He is the polar opposite of Heidfeld - decent qualifier, rubbish race pace. Sack him and replace him with Grosjean at the very least, or perhaps a driver who is actually decent.

but i will still nonimate the qualification tyre rules it didn't have much impact on the race, but it's something that's needed to be looked at.

Bear in mind that development of the MVR-02 effectively ceased around the time of the British GP (save for the updated parts that were already in production) after the team broke off its relations with Nick Wirth, whereas everybody else (save HRT) has continued developing their cars.
The MVR-02 was already badly off the pace as it was, and that performance gap has only become wider, especially at an aero intensive track like Suzuka (their mechanical grip doesn't seem to be too bad though judging by their performance in Singapore). At this rate, given that McLaren and Red Bull are still introducing updates on their cars (with both teams now beginning to copy elements off of their rivals cars), there is a chance that maybe one of the MVR's or HRT's could DNQ in Abu Dhabi if they drift ever further from the back of the grid.

Only thing is, Kev will have to go on to have a rejectful year and a half with Stewart... only that Stewart have since morphed into Red Bull, and you could put Jean-Pierre Frey in the RB7 and he would still unrejectify himself, even if it was by accident.

Frey would never unrejectify himself, he doesn't know what the concept of a hard braking zone is.

I just realised I haven't posted a nomination since after qualifying, so I'm going to nominate Williams, as they deserve at least one award this year for their continuous run of terrible performances, particularly after these comments from the team:

Hamilton gets the benefit of the doubt, just, as at least this time he did apologise for his in-race accident.
