As things are now, there is no point in letting younger drivers have a cockpit for shorter or longer times, since they do not get better by experience - this, I would like to change because it is unrealistic. To do that, I'd like to propose the following change to the performance system: I propose that every rookie who doesn't drive more than half a season, gets 2 grip points for every weekend. That would make the use of rookies strategically slightly more feasable while not "discriminating" more experienced drivers, since the maximum gain with my idea would be 16 grip points.

Opinions?

I like that idea. Although it can be better if instead of improving grip, they start off with ridiculously high inconsistency and have that consistency range get smaller (i.e. the driver becomes more consistent) as the season goes on.

I like Wizzie´s approach more, but I´d introduce it in 2015 along with the new Super License rule.

F1RWRS COMISSION ISSUES WARNINGS TO STEELE AND SCOTT

Kamaha´s driver Nicolas Steele and DGNgineering´s Nathan Scott have been issued a warning by F1RWRS authorities after both were involved in accidents during the Tasman GP race at Adelaide. This means that if any of them is punished again during this season they will have to face a two race ban. When questioned about his accident, Nathan Scott said: "Well, there´s nothing to add to it, I was pretty anxious after spinning for the 2nd time at that spot and wanted to resume as soon as possible and when I did I saw noone coming so that´s when I tried to move the car. Anyway, Whitechapel didn´t reduce speed at all despite the yellow flags, I wonder if she´s been taught what do they mean?". Adelaide GP organisers are facing too a 50,000€ fine for not deploying the yellow flags in the case of Steele´s accident, which costed Jack Christopherson the chance to finish his first race.

By the way, I´m working on some short of video thing for F1RWRS as well, but I´d prefer to livecast the race through Ustream or something similar, rather than recording and having to edit a video, the problem is I have sound problems with Gp2 so it would be probably with no sound but live text commentary would be available (unless someone else does live commentary).... Any ideas?

EDIT: Haven´t been able to load Prospec, Acuri and Gillet liveries... Klon, can you try to load them into a carset then send it to me?

A livestream, brilliant! Wizzie and I could probably do some commentary - the FedEx 100 is all improvised. As long as we know who's who, we'd probably get away with it :D

Kamaha appeal rejected

The F1RWRS comission has met to treat the appeal made by Kamaha and has straight rejected it. "Mr Steele's car failed way before the hairpin, had no had power steering, he wouldn't be able to turn and should have kept straight and park it at the runoff

However, I didn't notice the cars coming from behind, and I do apologize for my behaviour to Dagnall, de Bock, Christopherson and their respective teams. However, I find the penalty from the commission quite tough - it was purely a racing incident. Can't they realise accidents happen? Sheesh!

As Gp2 has only a 30 secs replay time what I do is pay attention and if somebody retires I quickly press the replay key and try to find the incident. If it´s remarkable enough I take a pic of it. Sometimes I catch them as they happen, but you gotta be quick not to miss´em. For example, I don´t know how Kay Lon damaged his Front Wing because I didn´t watch it and only noticed when I got the "Kay Lon is in the pits" message.

I know on GP4 you can change the replay time (Which is why I have it set to just under 3 minutes to give me plenty of time to sort out what the hell just happened  ) but is it possible to extend it on GP2 aswell?

On an unrelated note I request... no, I DEMAND that the following be used for the weather at Bathurst (Taken off actual forecasts for this Monday-Wednesday):
Friday: 20% chance of rain: 1-5mm
Saturday: 60% chance of rain: 1-5mm
Sunday: 90% chance of rain: 40-80mm

To put it in perspective, the average rainfall for Bathurst for the month of November is just over 60mm.

Now the action replay will last the entire race and you can go back to the start or the end and fast forward and rewind in 30 second chunks. Even save the whole replay if you save the game before the race ends. It is compatable with GP2Lap too.

I like the idea but definitely not for this season and probably never as it adds too many variables and I don´t want to spend 2 hours adjusting the carset before each race.

CNN wrote:Ex-F1RWRS Driver Tristan Jung is Set Free
After a lengthy trial which has taken up the better part of six months, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit against Tristan Jung for lack of evidence. Jung was indicted by the United States government after he was accused of money laundering along with several executives from Trueba Racing Team and American Racing Conglomerate. This was just after Jung tried to takeover Trueba in an undercover deal with ARC which fell through due to the protests of Trueba owner Giovanni Roda. Jung then fled (or took a vacation, we suppose) to Bangladesh while being pursued by federal agents. However, the case appears to have been a complete misunderstanding. Jung's alibi is that he was already planning to go to Bangladesh (to court possible investors) and that the whole episode and media coverage was blown out of proportion. Jung also said he is open to returning to F1RWRS, if any team would like to have him.

Tell us a bit more about him, because he is added to the list of possible Older replacements. A decision about the second seat will be made at the very latest before the Mexican Grand Prix.

Born in france to a Spanish mother and Dutch father(he races under the flag of the european union) he is currently racing in the F3 euroseries. He is an extremly fast qualifier and has a win at all costs attitude. He can also get angry if he feels the officials are screwing him over.

I know this is completely off topic, but the haiku in your signature is not really a haiku - the middle line should have 7 syllables, not 5. Try putting 'sometimes' in between 'But' and 'they'.

Technically the "Haikus are cool" is only 4 syllables as it is pronounced Hai-kus are cool, the s although does change the inflection is not another syllable as you do not stop.
