When it comes to driver swapping or promoting youth drivers, wouldn't it be better to have them officially signed? That way, if one team wants your (pay) driver, they can buy out the contract in exchange for some credits.

Autosport wrote:F1RWRS Teams to hold meeting before Australian GP
Several F1RWRS teams, most notably MRT, HRT, Jones Racing and Kahama, are expected to hold a meeting before the Australian GP at Bathurst. The main issues that are allegedly on the agenda for this meeting are the impending Turbo ban for 2015 and the formal application by Turkey to host an F1RWRS Grand Prix for 2015 in place of the Mediterranean Grand Prix.

The team meeting that several foreign motorsports reported today will, according to El Presidente, not involve him or any other representant of our glorious F1RWRS effort since he was not invited despite several requests. When asked about the topic, he said that he will not accept this "discrimination of an honest motorsport effort" and will consider his options.

You madam, or is it Sir? It is quite hard to tell, oh it is sir, sorry the lipstick threw me off, hmm? You aren't wearing any? Anyway you sir? Autosport, oh you will have to do. Yes the Formula One Rejects Teams Incorporated or FORTI for short, will be meeting soon to discuss many things. As co-chariman of FORTI it is my job to make sure we have all the topics for discussion noted down and we will be talking about the upcoming Turbo ban, although Mr Jones certainly does not need a turbo on his mouth, hahaha, sorry I digress. We shall also be chatting about the large number of teams in prequalifying and what we can do to reduce this, as well as which team has the best tea making facilities, although I am quitely confident that this is a certain Japanese team based in the UK. Tropico? Ah, that is just El Presidente, who sounds like a brand of toothpaste, trying to drum up support for his team, get them column inches, all team bosses are invited, well most of them are anyway. What's that? Yes I am co-chairman of FORD too, the Formula One Rejects Drivers, so I am in FORTI FORD. Anyway, no more questions please gentleman.
Sammy Jones wrote:Who the bloody hell let Barii Mori be co-chairman of FORTI? That's that group pissed up the wall, we can forget about getting anything meaningful done in those meetings if he performs in them the way he performs on track. To be quite honest, I'm all for the turbo ban, Castrol Jones Racing have made the case that successful teams don't need turbo engines, they just need some common sense and a bit of thought. As for pre-qualifying, I think the problem previously is that we've had too many teams that were far too closely affiliated to each other, however this season that has been reduced significantly which is something I'm pleased to see. I would however like to see that process continued, currently if that were to happen we could free up at least another three spots on the grid for other teams, or to reduce the number that have to face pre-qualifying. Whilst it's great that the F1RWRS is enjoying its most popular and successful period to date, we must recognise that the series cannot be allowed to be saturated with teams and drivers when it should be more important to highlight quality, not quantity.

Whilst my opinion on the turbo issue is clear, what I'm essentially saying about pre-qualifying is that we should have a 1 team per member rule in my opinion. Obviously it's far more desirable than last year, but from what I can tell, SuperAguri is controlling both Kamaha and Sunshine, whilst sharing responsibility for ArrowTech with JeremyMcLean, who is also running Acuri Autosport. Also TMLW is running both HRT and GRM. So for arguments sake we could say that SuperAguri runs Kamaha, Jeremy runs ArrowTech, and TMLW runs HRT, leaving a further three spots which would free up the grid, allowing more members to participate more in the series, rather than having nothing to look forward to other than a crap pre-qualifying performance. It is a bit harsh, but fairer overall in my opinion.

tommykl wrote:ECB and ENB were exactly the same team, with Jacques Swaters simply allowing the team to use the ENB name from 2012 onwards. For 2013, Gillet bought the team, but the core squad remained the same and the change can be considered the same as when Renault changed ownership between 2009 and 2010. So they are considered the same team.

It was just a little thing I noticed when I was writing the profile up, along with details on AMR and MAN, not only the chassis names, but also engine suppliers etc. It's not a big deal really, if you fancy coming up with some stuff I'd be more than happy to put it in the wiki for you

Is it based on the design that I made?

Not at all.![]()
I rather chose an amusingly bland 1.7 kilometers layout based on the famous TI Aida Circuit. What you can give me, is the track name. Since the Tropico that the team is based on, has its focus on the Militarists, it is going to be named after the leader of said faction. But instead of making up some name myself, you can give me the name of your militarists leader.

Autosport wrote:Horizon to appear at Bud 500
At the end of last season, Horizon Motorsport was closed down and merged into MRT never to be seen again, apparently. However in a shock decision by Daniel Melrose, he has decided to revive the team both as an attempt to enter the American IndyCar series with Dean O'Lauchlan and Vidal Reyna-Sanchez, but also as an opportunity to get his two young guns in the F2RWRS, Mitchell Macklin and Marie Simon, a chance in F1RWRS machinery. "I have made this decision to give our guys some seat time in the F1RWRS and I believe that this is the best way to go about it." said Melrose at a press conference in his hometown of Sydney. "We have had O'Lauchlan on our books since the end of 2011 and this is our way of repaying his faith in us, and us in him as we believe he is one of the best oval racers in the world today. Vidal, while still relatively by racing standards, has talent and has a bright future in America although we don't have plans for him to run in the F1RWRS in the near future. Our two young drivers are great prospects for the future with Mitchell cleaning house in effectively every series he's raced in so far and Marie being one of France's best future stars, I felt that both of them deserve a shot in F1RWRS machinery before they get full time gigs in the future."
