GP2 vs. GP4 vs. F1 Challenge?

So, I want to do an F1 career which I may decide to post here, and I was wondering which game I should get to do it. From the threads here, the general consensus seems to go with GP2, GP4, and F1 Challenge, so I was wondering which of these would be most suitable for me. What I need to know is if there is support for every F1 season from 2001 to now, how good the mods are, how easy it is to change driver names and abilities, and if it is possible to play with a keyboard and mouse.

I'd go for F1 Challenge. Seasons 2001 and 2002 are already in it, and 2003-2011 can be easily found.
It's pretty much a predecessor of rFactor and is very similar in terms of mods. Names and performance data can be easily edited by changing a few values in some files.
