V8 Supercar Rejects
I had an idea the other day for a championship I wanted to run It will sort of be a F1RMGP for V8 Supercars drivers. This will be run on GP4 using the DTM mod (its the closest to V8 Supercars I can think of) so there will be space for 22 drivers and 11 teams. While I can think of enough drivers myself I would prefer some suggestions from users (TMLW, I'm looking at you). The reject criteria will be the same as F1 because I am too lazy to think of my own. Also, please suggest drivers that have competed in a normal round.
Drivers:
1. Paul Romano
2. Fahad Al Musalam
3. Daryl Beattie ?

I suggest Tony D'Alberto, the textbook definition of anonymous midfielder. We can also have Paul Romano, Paul Morris and James Moffat thrown in there as well for good measure

I'm not accepting drivers who still race in V8 Supercars and Paul Morris has done enough to unrejectify himself, but Paul Romano is eligible.

Dare I say, Daryl Beattie? Yes, he was a decent motor racer in 500cc in the nineties, but I think he got only a 25th place, and a DNF in V8 Supercars, so technically he's a reject in that category.

As a Brazilian, should I add Max Wilson to it?

Re: V8 Supercar Rejects
For some more cultural diversity, how about Fahad Al Musalam? Drove at his local Bahrain round as a one-off for the revolving door that year that was TKR, the year before they went under.
In terms of results...something must have happened to Michael Patrizi near the end of the first race I can't remember anymore, becuase Al Musalam actually finishead ahead of him
But his other two resuts were DNF and 24th (i.e. last).

David Besnard?
Seen at many a top-level V8 supercar team, but has performed in a Mediocre manner akin to that of Nick Heidfeld.

That's a bit harsh don't you think? To my mind, Luke Youlden and Paul Dumbrell would be better candidates for rejectfulness.

Re: V8 Supercar Rejects
I thought Besnard was a bit rubbish to be honest. For all the years that he was in V8s, he did not achieve. I suggested a bit like Nick Heidfeld, but i dont think that comparison is even close. More like De Cesaris but without the crashing...

Re: V8 Supercar Rejects
Besnard has actually done pretty well at Bathurst over the last few years (Hell, he was in a position to win the thing in 2009 with just a handful of laps to go)

Re: V8 Supercar Rejects
When speaking of V8 Supercar rejects it's hard to go past David Thexton, a privateer driver who bought out the former VIP Petfoods team back in 2003 after selling out his business. His best result was 16th at Bathurst in '03, which, surprisingly meant that he and co-driver Steve Voight made up the most positions in that race.
This is a cool spot.
