Here's an idea; if every memeber of F1 Rejects was a stupidly wealthy Sheikh, looking to invest in motorsport, what would be your dream-team? Given what has happened with Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain and Malaga CF in football, perhaps it is only a matter of time before we have an Abu Dhabi F1 Team
FORMULA ONE tim minardi f1 team (minardi-ferrari) one // fernando alonso two // kamui kobayashi test // pedro de la rosa
GP2 alice minardi junior team one // christian vietoris two // antonio felix da costa
GP3 alice minardi junior team one // carlos sainz jr. two // marco wittmann
LE MANS & WEC telecom italia minardi (ferrari prototype and engine) one // allan mcnish, andre lotterer and romain dumas two // tom kristensen, jeroen bleekemolen and emmanuel collard
WRC tim ralliart (mitsubish lancer evo x wrc) one // petter solberg two // juho hanninen
alice ralliart junior team one // ott tänak two // jarkko nikara three // hayden paddon
Yes, that's right, Minardi. Given the chance I woud buy the naming rights from Paul Stoddart in a heartbeat and brand all my racing teams with this legendary name

Sorry if I am being too Picky... Oooppss, wrong thread for this.
Poor old Perry McCarthy, he appears to have been replaced by this Peter McCarthy chap

Ha, well my thread was more a social commentary on the strength of the current grid disguised as a ranking system, not fantasy per say. However I won't lose any sleep if it gets moved
Now on topic, I think my ideal team is quite close to how McLaren is now, possibly replacing Hamilton with Vettel and that is about it.
Either way, yes, I agree that this thread would probably be better suited to the PMMF, so I'll be transferring it there immediately.
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning: "The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited"
Formula Auto Racing Team/Westcliff Auto Racing Team (just think of the acronyms...)
Driver 1: Jenson Button Driver 2: Maria de Villota Test: Josh Hill, Alice Powell
DTM
BMW - British Motor Works
Driver 1: David Coulthard Driver 2: Susie Wolff (nee Stoddart)
IndyCar
Championship Auto Racing Team (just to be controversial...)
Driver 1: Katherine Legge Driver 2: Simona de Silvestro Driver 3: Ana Beatriz/Bia Figuerdo (or whatever name she goes by nowadays) on Rotation with the others: Justin Wilson, Sebastian Bourdais
Well, 90% of people on my uni course are female - why not carry that bias into my racing teams?

Formula One: Red Bull Orange Petronas Acer European B&H Mild Seven BMW (Aka RBOPAEBHM7BMW) 1. Sebastian Vettel 2. Fernando Alonso TD. Pastor Maldonado (sponsors!) TD. Bruno Senna (sponsors!)
IndyCar: Target WalMart DHL GoDaddy Penske-Ganassi Motors 7. Takuma Sato 8. Graham Rahal 9. Helio Castroneves 10. Dario Franchitti 11. Will Power 12. Marco Andretti

Generic F1 team that is definitly not sponsored in any way, shape or form by Marlboro. No way Jose. Perish the thought. We simply LOVE putting barcodes on our car. Anyway: Driver 1: Sebastian Vettel Driver 2: Fernando Alonso TD: Pedro de la Rosa Engine: Renault
Indycar Danica Patrick Dario Franchitti Helio Castroneves
WRC Sebastian Loeb Sebastian Ogier Petter Solberg
WTCC Yvan Muller Andy Prilaux Matt Neal Rickard Rydell
Indy Car: Ultimate Mercedes 1:Lewis Hamilton (Chrome Livery) 2:Fernando Alonso (Black and white "West" livery) 3:Mark Webber (Orange Livery) 4:Pastor Maldonado (Red and white livery) $$$
Would have to be super rich to make this happen though!

Why does a Sheikh need a pay driver? Is this some sort of world domination plan formed between a middle eastern despot nation and crazy bastard Chavez?

Why do people think Robert Wickens is so brilliant?
Also;
WTCC steve soper is a nazi racing team one // yvan muller two // james thompson three // paul o'neill
NASCAR minardi team usa (dodge charger) one // jeff gordon two // matt kenseth three // tony stewart four // mark martin / trevor bayne / mattias ekstrom (road course specialist)
Also, I'd purchase Faenza Calcio and copy TSG 1899 Hoffenheim by taking them from the amateur leagues all the way to Serie A

Well, he's frequently been up there in junior formulae, and I think he has the potential to do very well. Of course, we'll never know unless he actually gets a drive. But I'd say he's done enough to warrant an opportunity.

He first came to my attention while competing in A1GP. He has since spent several years around the Renault World Series (RWS) level. Surely, despite his success in both series I mentioned, if F1 were to sigh him up, they would have done so by now? Piquet and Hulkenburg were both race winners in A1GP, and several drivers have come from RWS since Robby Wicky has been racing there...

As long as he doesn't get a drive for Marussia...

No, I would rather see Maria de Villota there first!

Nico Hulkenberg destroyed virtually everyone in A1GP yet it still took him years to get a shot in F1 after it. Besides, isn't Wickens still, like, 12 anyway?
