For me it would have to be BRM, Stewart, Minardi, Simtek, Hesketh, and the original Colin Chapman Lotus.

To answer your question, the Super Aguri SA05(the car they started the 2006 season with), was indeed actually just an Arrows A23 that was updated to 2006 spec. And the Super Aguri SA06 (the car that they came out with mid-season 2006), was just a further evolution of the SA05. But after that they switched (controversially) to the Honda RA106 rebadged as the Super Aguri SA07 for the 2007 season, and used it up until their demise in early 2008.

Note: Super Aguri did test a rebadged Honda RA107 in 2008 testing but never raced it.

So SuperAguri never made their own car? I thought they built their own car in 2007 and just used it again in 2008...

Let me put it to you like this: Super Aguri never completely designed their own car. For 2007, they used a loophole that Toro Rosso also used in the regulations that allowed them to use the Honda RA106. It stirred up a massive controversy led mainly by Spyker and Williams about customer cars. Read all about it in the F1 Rejects 2007 season race review archive, it gets mentioned in a few of the race reviews. Also read this. It's not the full article but it'll give you some idea of what was going on.

Which left Super Aguri in a quandary actually because they were stuck between a RA106 that was near the end of it's useful development cycle and the RA107 which was the biggest hunk of crap walking God's green earth

I'm sure that SA did race the RA107 in the their '08 races, until they withdrew.

That is indeed what your first picture suggests, so I stand corrected. That is without a doubt a Honda RA107/Super Aguri SA08 at Albert Park. And yes they did race it for their entire 08 season.

ProDrive (they got in but never showed up)
Brabham
the March works team
Fondmetal
Jordan (well, technically, Jordan Grand Prix is still there)
Forti Corse
Scuderia Italia

and, most importantly of all,

*drumroll*

the Lola works team

Simtek, without a doubt. We might have even seen them score some points in the future had they not continued hemorrhaging coins all over the place.

Here's my three fav F1 teams of all time:

Ligier (1980)
Shadow (1974/1975)
Wolf (1978)

Three of the coolest ever F1 teams surely.

In no particular order:
March / Leyton House (in the classic turquoise livery)
Minardi (or just have Toro Rosso change their name)
Jordan (or just have Force India change their name), with either the 1991 green livery or the 1999 yellow livery
Ligier / Prost (with either name is fine, blue livery please!)
SOOPAH AGURI!

And here to give Marussia and HRT some competition:
MasterCard Lola
Andrea Moda
Pacific
Simtek (or just get Marussia to change...?)

I don't think that Marussia is as charming as Simtek. So, Simtek back (with MTV sponsorship, naturally). :-)

Seeing as many of the rejectful 90s F1 teams were born out of F3000 teams, how about even more of them making the step up? ORECA F1 sounds quite interesting.

Along the same lines, Il Barone Rampante almost made it to F1 as a Benetton B-Team, but their attempts to buy Footwork and Tyrrell came to nothing. They were notable as team principal Giuseppe Cipriani was as young as most of the drivers! I wouldn't have been surprised to see Alex Zanardi and Andrea Montermini as team-mates in that case.

Would love to see Super Nova make it to F1. The name to me is reminscient of both Super Aguri and the favourite of boy racers, the Vauxhall Nova...

Speaking of Hesketh, if they were around today I think Kimi Raikkonen would like it there a lot
