I dont have any recording software WH, unless you can reccomend something other than FRAPS (free version only does 20 second clips) I'll try and post as many pictures as I can. Anyway it might be 2-3 days till the first test because I have to write the .rfm files(which govern skills), paint about 5-6 liveries, and wait for everyone else's livery to be completed. We'll probably be underway in less than a week, maybe a week and a bit.

Oh man, this sounds like it's gonna be a cool series. I wanted to enter it but I was too late (d'oh). I'm predicting the real drivers will do relatively well in this series.

Does rFactor have replay save files? Maybe you could send it to someone who can record it?

The real life 1998 BTCC champion was my driver Rickard Rydell, so here's hoping... ;)

Also, I was rather hoping someone would enter Jason Plato and Steve Soper so I could give team orders to John Cleland to batter the sh*t out of them.

Because Knockhill is a pretty dreadful track, all in all. 90% of the it is filler. It's really too short to be hosting BTCC, but they go there anyway because it's really the only track in Scotland. Which is pretty sad considering it's motorsport heritage.

I would disagree with that actually, some of the races there have been thrilling, the high kerbs are entertaining and the final corner/start straight is one of the most thrilling sections on the calendar.

It isn't like the Brandshatch GP circuit, which is entirely filler until you get back on to the Indy Circuit.

1) When should our liveries be finished?
2) How do I change the number inside the Auto Trader box? I can only do it after I saved my livery as a .dds-file, but when I insert a number, it doesn't look good.

1) ASAP please Ferrarist, ideally before Friday.
2) You nee to blank out the original number in the template and insert your numbers (there should be a file named "btcc style numbers" in the file you downloaded, if it isn't there I'll upload ot. If you send the files to ne I'll put it in game for you and post pictures

Also, would you please mind helping me out on a few liveries? I've done Kickert Motorsport and Prism Motorsports livery, but there are loads more that need doing.

Funny thing though - when making up background info for Nurmovitsch (for wiki purposes), I found this. :)

Looking at the templates, I'm afraid that I'm not able to make the livery myself this time. So, here's my ideas for it:
  • The basic livery will be two-tone: the front, bonnet and roof will be blue (RGB value 0, 0 ,255 to be exact). The rear will be black. On the sides, there's a diagonal white line which splits the black rear and blue front areas.
  • Team sponsors are Amer, Kone, Nokia (change the logo to a white color, if needed) and Vaisala (same thing as with the Nokia logo).
  • You can place most of the sponsors any way you see best, although I'd prefer the Nokia logo to be big and on the sides (i.e. as the main sponsor).
  • Both drivers have personal sponsor, placed on top of the rear wheel arch: Nurmester has Woolworths UK, while Nurmovitsch has Lukoil.

Talking of the wiki, can you make a Hermann Mann prpfile please Nuppiz. Make it as ludicrous as you want
Seen as that started in 2004, and is quite small, it makes us the original and best :) Nuppiz, your livery will go in the (rather large) queue. Can anyone with the software to paint liveries help me with that please? for anyone not sure about liveries, PaintDotNet is a free layer-supportive program, similar to photoshop, that with two small file downloads can open and save .pds and .dds files

I could help you out, but I can only do single-colour liveries for now. I don't quite get yet how to do more complicated ones.

Okay, anything specific about his background you want in the profile? So far I've read he's 50 years old (i.e. born in 1947-48), really fond of Jägermeister and was one of the key people behind the Onyx and MasterCard Lola F1 teams. Of course, I'll also try to make up all sorts of wicked stuff in his bio! :)

It's not the software that's preventing me from making liveries (I have PSP8 which opens .psd just fine, and I've done many RoLFS liveries with that), but for some reason I just can't seem to be able to make anything out of the car, it all looks so... mashed up. Unlike the LFS skins which have everything more or less spaced out. But of course I understand if it takes time to finish it, so there's no hurry!

Nuppiz, your livery will go in the (rather large) queue. Can anyone with the software to paint liveries help me with that please? for anyone not sure about liveries, PaintDotNet is a free layer-supportive program, similar to photoshop, that with two small file downloads can open and save .pds and .dds files

Okay, anything specific about his background you want in the profile? The Wireframe layer helps show where everything is, have you tried switching it on to see where it all goes?

He is also very fon of Lederhosen, drove Phoenix's Audi (see page 2 ) into a pool, and supplies my driver Martin van der Maeyede (F1 Rejects Indy Championship Series) with booze. A scandal soon to be released...
And, if you want, I can post a picture of the template with what all the parts are.

Yes, I had found the wireframe layer, and based on the preview shot in the first post of this thread I started determining which goes where... but with labels ready now I should be able to at least make something. ;)

Quite a few things to fix, it seems! I'll start working on it now.

That's a bloody brilliant livery, but I thought the debut album came out at the start of June 1998, not at the end of July. Oh well, it won't make much difference...
